How's everyone seeing the POTYs scheduling now? At first I was really confused by it all, having awards before the season ends as it kinda of comes with an end. Like, here's your praise, but the jobs not done so why are we doing it now?

But thinking on, maybe its a good thing? Facetime with the fans for the squad, a bit more a closed setting for one final motivational push and they get some accolades, maybe just to boost some morale before it's (hopefully) done and dusted on saturday.

POTY awards are always before the last game of the season. I don't think it is a motivational thing, it is more likely that once the season is over all the players and staff want to get away on holiday, unless the play offs are involved.

I think he's the type of character to have learnt his lesson.

If we, for once, concentrate on playing football as opposed to arguing with refs, we'll be alright.

It’s part of his DNA. We cry out for players to chelp at the ref during the game to try and get an advantage, the key is when to stop!

It might be because we actually have something to play for going into the final game, but it just feels odd to me that we we didn't try shift this years. GA strikes me as the type that would want very little distractions week before a key game?

Great point. It was the Walsall away game where we hopelessly naive when Byrne got injured and as a result conceded.

But, they have now gone way OTT. I still don't understand what riled Saracevic up so much - never mind Baldwin's brain fade!!

I saw this on social media yesterday and its clear as day why Smallwood is our key player. I think he'll come back and see us home on Saturday.

I was amazed that for his age and his position, the Swindon red was only the third of his career. His last one was at Blackburn in 2019, and he never really recovered at that club. Blackburn won every game he was banned for, then he never really got a run back in the side and was cast out for the last year of his contract pretty much and played in the U21s before signing for Hull. His previous red before that was for Rotherham, another toward the end of the season. He again got a straight red then missed the last 2 of the season and the first play off leg. He came back in for the second leg and final to win a promotion.

Holidays Will have been booked. It is as near the end of the season as can be. Plus the motivation this year if they need any is that their holidays will not have to be cancelled if they end up in the playoffs.

Good post @Jordan@Jordan as yourself I'm surprised he's only had 3 reds in his career, especially the way football is played now a days, although the referees are letting more go with regards challenges recently, well apart from that jerk at Swindon, only joking @Bumblebee_Tuna@Bumblebee_Tuna ;).

The bottom line is also his availability …That’s some going for a player of his age .

That would certainly be all the motivation I'd need. Win on Saturday and that's an extra 2, possibly 3 weeks off, lose and it's slog on with training for at least another 2 weeks and if you make it to 3,there's still the chance of complete heartache yet again at the end of it.

The player of the year awards were last night? If so, why no photos or other footage of the event. I might be out of touch;) and it was posted in other places but usually I see the award winners with the prices

Sure they will have them up soon!

they had some weird red lighting in the room. I got a selfie with Tayo and it looks like I’m in the red light district!

BOOM BOOM BOOM, EVERYBODY SAY TAYO, TAYOOOOOOOO!

Yes the lighting was very strange. Could barely see my dinner at one point. Good night though :)
