To be fair, this is probably the correct answer.

Touray, Sarcevic. Neufville and Power level pegging for second.

Pointon and J Wright not far behind.

T Wright could be staking a claim if he continues to improve.

Well without reviewing all the match highlights I’d suggest.
Stockport away - 3 points won for sure based on his first half multiple saves and the last minute save.
Blackpool, Exeter, Plymouth. 6 points won based on we won by a single goal and he made several saves from clear cut chances.
Bolton, Stevenage , Lincoln he won us 3 points in total based on us his saves ensuring we gained a point in each.

so in total I’d suggest 12 points he’s actively had an involvement in winning for us.

Isn't a keeper supposed to save the ball?

I mean, I'll take the Stockport save at the end and there's no doubt a few more but I don't remember any outstanding type saves in a lot of the games you mention, just saves that Walker himself would expect to make at this level.

Have to agree with your take on this, the Stockport one I get, but in most of the other games, unless we had an amputee in net, I can't see how the game would have been different. The only other exception is Exeter, he got a deserved MOTM in that game, those two games are the only time I've felt he actually deserved it though. Otherwise, we should start counting anytime a keeper makes a save, it would make the Ballon D'Or every year a bit repetitive though, with only keepers getting it.

It is his best spell of us so far though saying that, but he's not in the top 3 for player of the season.

    Thanks for the reply

But I am “old school” and possibly pedantic but I don’t agree that goalkeeper win matches, scoring more goals than the opposition win matches, and that no matter how the goalkeeper plays unless he’s the goal scorer we don’t win.

That said Bradford City would not be Second in the league without some excellent performances by Walker.

Fair enough on the replies to Walker ‘just doing his job’
Shall we take away Cook’s player of season awards for sticking ball in net? Ie. His job.
And as for Touray and Neufville, no chance. It’s their job to tackle and run up and down the wing.
In fact let’s just stop giving out awards full stop as they’re only doing what they’re paid to do. lol

I think a fair metric would be to somehow quantify the saves that we would not expect him to make. However, you'd also need to factor in the mistakes (minor and major) that he has made in relation to other L1 keepers. In that respect I think he's been superb. He hasn't made any clangers iirc, whereas most keepers will have made 2 or 3 at least in the games that have been played this season.

    Would that include Cleary's goal?

No. It was a freak goal. His starting position was the same as any other keeper in that position. Could he have moved his feet better? Maybe. That could've happened to any keeper at our level.

There was another ‘Cleary’ one this weekend in football league. Can’t remember the game but saw a clip on socials of the best EFL goals this week!

edit: found it. Last goal in reel from Leicester

Actually since that Cleary goal, his fault or not (I don't think anyone can fully blame Sam walker, it was a freak goal) he has been in great form. Good shout on Walker.

We have been a better team since we signed him.

Remember his first game for us when he did his goal kick routine, where he takes a while and a stuttering run up... some of our fans booed him.

Walker is up there for me. Our defensive qualities have improved overall since his arrival. Shout out to Max Power too. He quietly goes about his business and you can see how he guides and coaches the team. Many others are having good seasons too but what a time to be a City supporter.....

Ibou Touray in the team of 2025. Fully deserved.
