    if this was the 1996 squad or the 2012/2013 history makers then yes ofc we could make it.. but not with the class of 17/18...

    I recall McCarten saying in an interview lately how laid back training was at Accrington and how there was no gym work, and they just used to pop down to the local sport centre. That maybe explains his fitness

    Yes I read that, but I didn’t connect the two. McCarten lack of fitness to facilities being poor at AS. Having said that, they have just won league 2:)

    A lot to be said about stress free 'togetherness', whilst leaving the pressure behind you ! A lesson for our players ?
    Dedicated Soldiers don't always make for a better group than a bunch of relaxed mavericks. :)

    Maybe, and maybe it also says that at Accrington you have to be incredibly self-motivated to achieve big things...

    Then again, he's had a big move, so it's swings and roundabouts.

    But if there's no pressure on you to be at peak physical condition beyond basic expectations, then surely the fittest athletes are the most committed, most valuable ones?

    wigan blackburn and portsmouth....get rid of some of the bigger clubs...because with sunderland going down and possibly another big club it makes going up that much harder.

    Charlton won’t get 72 points though.
    IF we did win all remaining games and didn’t get in top 6 I’d be very surprised.
    Even 70 is likely to be enough.
