I think as whatever team we play will only give us the minimum number of tickets of say 2k (Bolton, and 1k or less should it be Stevenage etc) we will defo be only allocating 2k tickets for the play offs, and in my opinion that would be as it is now, but with the segregation in the Midland Road moved on 1 block.

I really hope we hang onto 3rd (or better if we dare to dream!) as I am out on 9 May evening and again on 14th!

Saturday night is a rubbish time for a match.

Blocking off seats and denying paying fans the chance of a ticket? Sorry but that is an utterly ludicrous idea.

We would be enraged if someone like Huddersfield or Bolton reduced their allocation and did that to us.

It's pretty common these days that teams only give the minimum they have to in the play offs even if that means empty seats. I'm not saying that is what we will do but it is a possibility and I wouldn't be surprised by it as clubs only get 25% of ticket revenue from the match clubs see it as being worth it for fewer away fans.
If we play Bolton we will only be getting 2,000 whether or not they sell out the home end.

Bolton gave Barnsley 2,100 a couple of years ago which was reciprocated by Barnsley but that is the most we will get unless we could somehow come to a mutual agreement to give each 2,700. Thankfully teams have complained about Stockport or they would still be getting away with offering less than 1,000.

For play offs they only need give 2k or 10% whichever is lower. Therefore Stockport will get away with giving hardly any, as would Stevenage. Plymouth wouldn't be an issue as travelling down there with a few days notice isn't easy but if Huddersfield or Reading make it, it would no doubt be 2k again. Luton would be a low allocation too.

Blocking off half a stand so away fans cant watch? Really?

Now if it is given to home fans that is a whole different argument but it seems far fetched that a club would deny away fans seats if they are not exclusive to home fans. If City are in the play offs it makes no difference if 2000 or 2800 away fans tun up to VP. I would be very surprised if we only sold the upper of the Bradford end.

All the home teams are doing it in the play off's because of the stupid rules set out by the EFL, and we saw it last year at Doncaster in the league. Allocations cut to 10% because all the monies get pooled do clubs aren't losing out.

Salford gave Stockport 550 tickets a few years ago, where as Stockport had to give twice that to Salford.
MK Don's sell 2k tickets and put the away fans up in the gods when they have 18k empty seats and Barnsley v Bolton in recent years has seen 5k stands half full.

The EFL should be doing all they can to get stadiums full for the play offs, not allowing clubs bend the allocations to leave grounds half empty.
