While we're on the subject of spelling and grammar can people stop saying Rupp is a disinterested owner. He most certainly is not. He has a significant financial interest in the club. He would be disinterested if he was a neutral observer. Uninterested quite possibly and even likely.

That’s not 100% true. Bradford City football club DO NOT have to play their home games at Valley Parade.
They can play at any stadia that meets EFL standards.
Whether the fans get on board with the notion is anyone’s guess but we cannot be held to ransom by the PF on the assumption we ‘have nowhere to go’

Well let’s hope if we will never have the opportunity to purchase the ground back, that Sparks is a better negotiator on business property leases than he is with league 2 player contracts otherwise we’ll end up with a 100 year lease, paying 3 times market value for an old knackered stadium.

Honestly, Kevin, I don't understand how you can pretend that MK Dons don't have a style of play.

The only evidence is that they made one poor appointment? Or that they're losing money?

What do those have to do with installing a culture and a vision at that club?

It seems to me what you're actually intending to argue is that because 'having a vision and a plan' doesn't always work, it's not worthwhile?

Wouldn't it be in Rupps best interest to sell the club before the lease expires, giving any potential new owner a possibility to negotiate the purchase of the stadium before a new lease is signed? Or as stated in the open letter, he could attempt to buy back the stadium before including that in any deal. In terms of building a new stadium, I'd imagine the footprint would be akin to a retail park in size and access, I can't think of anywhere with that amount of space unless it's brownfield land.
As has been mentioned, the current owner had 8 years to put a plan together, but I doubt he saw himself being here this long, therefore never thought he'd be in the position have to deal with it.

 

No, you misunderstand me. I'm talking about what's needed, not what I think he'll do. I've been pretty vocal and consistent - I think Rupps statement last week was bluster and PR. I don't think he'll do a damn thing.
