    Remember back when BFG arranged a friendly with Santos, I went to tbe game however there was no sign of Pele. Was he actually at VP at all that evening ?

    That friendly against Santos was one of the most boring matches I have ever seen, even taking into account that it was a pre season friendly.

    That was when we had proper friendlies...games i recall from the 90's were Dnipr, santos, red star belgrade, sparta rotterdam or feyenoord and real sociedad rocked up once with valderama in the team if i remember rightly

    The friendly v Feyenoord was class because Eddie Youds was still pissed from Wembley and had to be taken off after 30 seconds

    Real Valladolid, I believe. I couldn't resist getting Carlos Valderrama's autograph at that friendly.

    Going further back i remember attending a mid-season friendly against Zambia.

    Then there was that game against Man Utd at L666s RD as a fundraiser for the fire, can't remember the score but think City won?

    Seem to remember an under 19's England team playing Switzerland as an opener for the rebuilt VP as well.
