Recency bias in full swing for me here but GA as it stands - Part of that being I fully believe he will improve our position year on year, and I can’t see him going anytime soon.

Parky did brilliant with what he had and I’ll never forget that season with the cup run and promotion, if Rupp/Rahic hadn’t come in then I assume parky would have stuck around for longer.

If the question was who gave the better memories then Parky would edge it with the cup runs but in terms of who I’d rather have in charge now, then GA.

Parky for me every time i also think a lot of "opinion" is swayed by the circumstances surrounding his departure and he wasnt wrong about that either
So far GA has only matched him with getting us promotion a fortunate 97th minute deflected goal that literally trickled over the line in the last match of the season fair play to him tho so far this season he's not doing too bad
There's time yet but he has a long way to go to match what Parky and his amazing cup runs achieved
So Parky all-day long hoping GA proves me badly wrong

I don’t think otherwise , I’m referencing football styles nothing else . That was the comparitor was it not ?

PJ was better than both added together re style btw .

Dingbats trying to pull his legacy to bits in somehow making out that all his football was somehow horrible ..............i suggest they look at the Chelsea game and watch all them horrible goals :)

And tbh trying to compare the two after GA has had only two years anyhw is simply daft i hope GA smashes PPs record into the ground because he does that then this club will be in one hell of a place

    Absolutely Gaz.
GA had a rocky start but is more than making up for it now. The golden times are back.

Oh I know, I believe he plays 3 at the back at Wrexham? It’s more his style of play and lack of intense pressing, this squad is nothing IMO without the Alexander press. But as I said it depends what you’re going on, the here and now or in achievements. Parky is certainly ahead in achievement, but if Alexander goes back-to-back it’s never been done by a city team and I’m not sure a manager has ever had 2 promotions either? So that would be the achievement to surpass him IMO.

Don't forget though that Parky was helped by a modern day legend Centre Forward

    It’s this all day long.

The irony of people saying Parky’s football was poor after some of the dross we’ve seen over the last 2 seasons is right up there.

Getting fans off their seats against Villa (twice) Arsenal,Chelsea Swansea and Northampton will never be forgotten.

The circumstances of the Fleetwood game make it the most memorable of all my favourite ever games but the sheer amount of upsets in the various cup runs achieved against all the odds by players who he got playing over and above their normal levels give Parky my vote.

Agreed about the last 2 years the loons making out it was perfect when in reality there has been some shockers in there ..............both have done amazing jobs with flaws and it should be left at that

I actually met Parky a few months back and chatted about City with him. He still has a great fondness for us and looks out for our results. He was quick to mention how well Alexander was doing with us and how pleased he was to see that, which I thought was a nice touch.

Personally I think both managers have very similar styles. Both have managed to get the connection back between the players and the fans. Most of us could easily name the 11 that Parkinson would use week in week out from that promotion/cup run season and I think in 15 years time, we'll all still be able to name the team that got us promoted last season.

I voted PP but then realised the question was "now, under these owners".

Yeah, Parky wouldn't put up with it, so GA is probably the fairer answer.

Wembley twice in the same year and reaching a major Cup final? That's without witnessing THE greatest FA Cup giant killing ever.

Those days aren't likely to EVER be repeated.

I don't see why some posters have to be like this. OP asked a question. People gave their opinions. Why do some get so triggered and combative all the time. Forum is becoming very toxic.

Ultimately it is subjective. There is no right or wrong answer. The answer depends on what you value.

If you value the big characters of the Parky era and the great cup nights.

Or if you value the more entertaining style of football and better league performance of Alexander.

Personally I prefer Alexander and I'm more confident of us progressing with him at the helm than I was with Parky.

Alexander also seems better at signing players. Parky signed some stinkers. Wasting the Wells money on Aaron McClean was criminal.
