They're only going so they can see the Bradford.

For this first time in a long time im looking forward to this game. Only because there is a good crop of players who will get their opportunity to shine and hopefully give Sparky something to think about.

Odusina, Scales, Harratt will all start you would think. Maybe Eisa too.

No need to boycott the competition if you're confident that your club isn't going to lose its place in the EFL to a PL B Team and you don't care which of the remaining 71 clubs disappear to allow Man City et al to give their kids a bit of game time to boost their value.

Im very confident its not happening. Bed wetting and a fallacy by the doom merchants.

Scrap that. Scales has joined Farsely on loan.

Don't kid yourself, normalising the PJT with the U23's is sleepwalking towards B Teams in the EFL. The first offer for increased money to the EFL from TV rights has come with a demand that Championship clubs are obliged to field PL U23's in their teams.

Yet, we have not as a club an option to purchase tickets via our website......

It's already happened in Scotland and I think it'll be here in some form (probably national league level first) before the decade is out.

Ricky Parry has said no. The 72 clubs have said no.

It was an idea by Man Citys chief. And that was it. No negotiation. Just a comment in the press.

The EFL is a separate organisation from the EPL, two totally separate companies organising different leagues. To allow B Teams in the EFL would have to vote for it, and that means at least a majority (possibly more) of the 72 teams saying yes.

The amount of money that comes down from the EPL wont buy those votes and you can guarantee at least 50 of the 72 teams in the EFL would say no, whatever sword of damocles that the EPL put over it.

It would be like turkeys voting for Christmas. It's not happening.

I agree it could happen in the National League, but it wont happen in the EPL.

Just can't see it in my lifetime. Too many teams in the EFL, who are never likely to get to the PL and fall sucker to their bullying, to vote it out.

I hope it never happens but the current £140mill of annual PL 'solidarity' money would buy a lot of EFL turkeys! ;)

It's almost £30m for the lower leagues but I don't understand the relevance of your question. Championship clubs will still get a vote in the decision whether to admit some U21 or U23 teams to the EFL pyramid.

Wouldn't surprise me if it caused a breakaway, if it somehow got voted in.
