Think Sky just said Notts have sold over 4 times the amount Salford have... Looks like more to be honest!!

Todays play off final brings back a few memories of the day we beat Notts County and our journey to the Premier started.

Think most of us over 50 fans struggle with the game today. I used to know the names of all top division players now I have absolutely no interest.
I am horrified that the £3m that we lost is regarded as peanuts. Wish someone would throw some of those peanuts my way. In answer to your first line, Can you imagine all players driving around in Fords?

Hoping Salford can win. With Salford going to a more sustainable model I don't think they would be as strong as Notts will be. Also had enough of Notts County and their thrashings of us to last a while.

Still some can't get a good internet signal inside Valley Parade, hang your heads in shame the commercial crew.

I messaged my son that there weren't many Salford fans at Wembley. He said I was clearly wrong as they were all there.

I saw the Stones at Anfield in 2022. It wasn't a great viewing position- roughly on the halfway line and about halfway up - with the stage at the opposite end to the Kop and our seats facing directly onto to the pitch. It was designed for watching football after all. The facilities in the bars and the toilets were decent, able to service a good crowd as you'd expect but compared badly to the likes of Coop Live. I happen to have seen the Eagles and the Doobies there. The facilities were top notch. Heaven knows what punters would think of the facilities at VP if 10,000 turned up to listen to some decent music! Some lower league clubs do it though. MKD have used the money from events at the MK Arena to help fund the footballing side but of course the arena was originally designed to do just that. It must be more more difficult for older legacy based stadia which have simply evolved over time.

I'd like to think that City could use the summer months at VP to raise some dosh from similar events but I get the feeling that isn't on the club's agenda at the moment.

Jatta is a bit good int he? Movement has been great in this one so far, doing some defensive work well too and that's a top first tine finish

Totally agree I can't predict City's starting 11 match by match, don't get on about formations I really couldn't care less, I know when I've seen a poor/average/good game of football, and VAR I'm still awaiting a decision getting back to the referee within the time laps of cricket which we were told would be the case when introduced.

The cost of setting it up will make it unrealistic for most clubs and also there will probably be various safety licences etc to get. I'm not sure we'd have the access for all of the staging equipment to get in as the only vehicle access is the small access point by the changing rooms.
I can't imagine the groundstaff will be happy as well as it will reduce a lot of the work they can do on the pitch. Premier League clubs can do it easier as lots newer stadiums are built with concerts in mind, they often have a longer pre-season with no home friendly to worry about unlike lower leagues who will often have home friendlies around 2 weeks before the season starts.

Disagree. Would rather see Notts Co fans rock up at VP for a great atmosphere than the 150 or so Salford would bring. Thats why we all wanted to leave league 2 surely, to be rid of matchdays against the likes of Salford, Harrogate, Crawley and the rest.

Ian Cooper was my neighbour for a while back in the 70’s
If I remember correctly his was the crapiest car on the street LOL
Maybe it’s just those rose tinted glasses, but football for all its problems and there was many, just seem a far fairer and honest game

Well it looks like we will be getting County as it stands
    Personally think it’s great
A club like Salford , holding onto a league place again through paying out vast amounts above there actual income
Also it serves the silly Man Utd click right
