The pressure is certainly more on Plymouth for a win to stay in the race. It would be great to seal a place on Tuesday but the most important thing is that we don't lose, not only is top 6 still within our hands so is top 4.
Like the Stevenage game the first goal will be vital, Tom Cleverley is not scared to play the dark arts if needed.
We have to learn from today as well as a lot of players looked like the pressure was on, we have a lot of experienced players but looked like a lot of them have never experienced a play off race before.
One of the big reasons for the success over the last 2 seasons has been the home form and a big part of that for me is the shift in mindset from fans, in the past if it wasn't going well early on fans would turn which plays in the opposition's hands. Now teams know that a good start is only the start and it takes more getting to half time at 0-0 or losing for the fans to turn.

Yeah we certainly need to put in a much better performance than today. I'm just hoping Bobby will be back and coupled with Sarc will give us the goal threat we sorely lacked today. Who we play as striker is a head scratcher as today's front 3 were all off it. I know his role as central striker has been much maligned and debated but i felt Humphry was the pick of the 3. I don't remember Jackson or Swan doing anything positive of note

The Plymouth forward line looks dangerous and this Plymouth team beat Barnsley away 3nil not so long ago. I can see 2 away games in 2/3 days for this Plymouth team might be to our advantage, travelling all the way to Bradford on a Tuesday night but we also must improve in our play.

I think Pointon could be out for at least 2 weeks Alexander confirmed in interview but the interview sounded like to me it could be longer if Pointon wasn't seeing some sort of specialist or treatment.

GAs comments re Bobby are a concern. I dont think GA expects him to be back in the regular season and I sensed he feels its touch and go for the play offs if we make it.

The comments to me sounded like a manager who knows it is very likely that it's going to be more than a couple of weeks but if there's hope of some treatment that could get him back at some point during the play offs then will hang onto that hope in public to give fans hope. One thing that Alexander is really good at is the interviews with the media and using them to send messages to fans without directly addressing them. He's also got a history of under playing and over playing injuries so it could end up being anything.

A positive is that the club put a video on Tiktok yesterday from training and Wright was involved in training so hopefully he isn't too far off.

Lose to Plymouth and we miss out on play offs by 1 point as I think we will draw at home to Bolton and at best draw at Exeter. Plymouth will win their last two games against Port Vale and Northampton and Stevenage run in is against teams with nothing to play for. Tuesday is the night that will define the season.

This team cannot play under pressure as we found out last season.. With our defence and calamity keeper.. iim expecting the worst on Tuesday.. having
seen Plymouth play they will tear our defence to smithereens.. 500/1 odds for a 5-0 down at half time is worth a punt.. im still haunted by the mansfield performance from a few years ago…

Yeh dont fancy us against Plymouth, they are showing their quality. I can see them taking 9pts from their last 3 games. We 100% need to avoid defeat.

Bolton arent in great form, leaking goals but then again we dont score many. But I think we are good for a point against them.

Its going to go down to the last game IMO. We have thrown away a very healthy position and as I said a few weeks ago, we will limp into the play offs if we qualify. Our performances simply havent been good enough and tbh we are extremly lucky that those around us are also dropping pts. Only Plymouth won yesterday.

Our team need to learn fast from yesterday. GA hit it on the head, players let their excitement go to their head and failed to manage the end of the game.

However, I think we will win on Tuesday. We have done brilliantly throughout the season and we are not going to throw it away.

Yes it is tight and has been all season and we have been in the top five in every position. Other teams in there are also beginning to stumble apart from Plymouth. We beat them at their place, so the pressure is on them.

Let’s not get carried away with the doom and gloom

Its hard not too after the last 2 games. Plymouth need the win more than us and look like they want it more than us. We are the worst form team up there atm with Bolton but they have the extra 2pts.

We have a game in hand of Bolton. Win on Tuesday and it is Bolton having to scramble around to try and fend off Plymouth. It is in our hands, we play both of them in the next week. We play them both at home. VP is the difference let’s bolster our players.

On paper Plymouth would appear to have an easy run in but you already know they will arrive at Valley Parade ready to deploy the dark arts through out the entire game, something we won't be able to control but the appointed officials certainly can.
In my opinion based on what we've witnessed already this season it's down to these four individuals on the night and how they're interpretation of the rules are used.
    JAMIE O'CONNOR
    Drew Dutton and Matthew Sowerby
    Fourth Official: Paul Newhouse.
If we can somehow avoid a stop start game which is very doubtful and are allowed to produce more than a forty five minute performance against physical opposition a play off spot is very achievable.

If we beat or draw Plymouth on Tuesday then they cant catch Bolton. Bolton are home and dry.

If we lose on Tuesday but beat Bolton then its them that will be worried going into the final game.

If results go badly on Tuesday the table will look like this
    3rd P 44 Bolton 74
    4th P 43 Stockport 74
    5th. P 44 City. 72
    6th P 44 Stevenage 71
    7th. P 44 Plymouth. 69
    8th. P 44 Luton. 68

With City having Bolton and Exeter to play and Plymouth having Port Vale and Northampton and a superior goal difference it would be a tense finish. However if we could just get a draw it would be a massive difference.

And if we could just get a win, every other result would be irrelevant.
