Exactly this. 3 wins out of 4 is not enough to release the pressure on what has been an abysmal tenure.

8th place in League Two (9th if Grimsby win today) with barely having stepped foot in the top 7 after more than half the season gone is still appalling after all the drivel we've been fed, no matter how anyone dresses it up.

It's fair to say, even if we get promoted, that doesn't mean Rupp becomes the best owner ever. Far from it, he'll always get it in the neck from me for the farcial decision to replace Rahic with Rhodes. That literally cost us 18 months!!. Covid was bad enough to cope with, without it coinciding with arguably our worst play ever

However, if you're going to use stats to support your unease about the running of the club. At least be magnanimous enough to point out that we have a game in hand on two of the teams above us. When there's four points between us and 3rd place - that's a significant fact.

Also another fact. Other than the 2008/9 season, which tailed off spectacularly and the 2012/13 season which suffered because of the great cup run - we haven't been this close to the promotion places (in terms of points) at the halfway stage, this century.

And it's another fact that we've got into the promotion shake when a number of key players have been unavailable for 10 league matches or more.

So there's genuine grounds for optimism.
