    Yes, I was there.

We got pumped 5 0 with Lee Hughes tearing Zesh Rehman a complete new one.

I was also there. Sven Eriksen was their manager and Kasper schmeichel was in goal.
The attendance was 9000 and we definitely didn’t take 4000.

I'll take your word for it.

We did take 4000 to Doncaster though so I suppose the point is that had it not been on TV it certainly isn't it of the realms of possibility.

Agreed, we might have sold out if 3pm not on TV and playing better football.

    No.
He only played 1 game and it wasn’t against us after signing a 5 year deal.

    Took around 3000.
The stand was full until the last block on either end.

Great result for all us N.Z and Australian bantams.

With the clocks changing to summer time daylight savings 3.00pm kick off equates to a 2.00am start so with the Notts County kicking off early me means it's 11.30pm for any Victoria based bantams.

Pub then City once home, simple!!

Hanson epitomises everything that we had in that team. A player, who was far from being the donkey some label him, who gave 120% for the cause every match.

Can’t believe the negative comments big Jim get’s off some on here. One of the best centre forrads I’ve seen over 60 years, and his partnership with Nahki one of the best in my lifetime also.

As most Bradford City fans I'd have given my right arm to have a career like Jimmy Hanson 238 appearances scoring 77 goals for Bradford City rating him 3rd best Bradford City goal scorer of all time, rubbing shoulders with the legend that is Bobby Campbell.
Going to Wembley 3 times, many Premiership players can't boast that, scoring some very important goals during our great Cup runs his first started the club on our road to Wembley against Notts County, not forgetting that great header against Aston Villas Ron Vlaar's who's presence was supposed to help cure Villa's Achilles heel but he lost Hanson at Gary Jones's corner, sealing our place in the Wembley final, nah lump of wood.

    Well said.

his critics are clueless. Hanson proved them all wrong when, rather than moving down the ladder, his next move was to promotion hopefuls Sheffield United to get them over the line, which he did.

back then there weren’t many better target men in the league. The big lad at Rotherham was handy, but Jim was up there with the best of them in the lower leagues, hence why Sheff United took him up the pyramid!

He was also lauded by John Terry, one of the greatest CBs in PL history, after his performance in the FA Cup win, and made various ‘top x’ lists compiled by those in the game.

Met him once at a wedding. Seemed a nice lad, too. Never understood the braindead criticism he often got.
