I can't see how we've got a sell on clause like this. Swansea maybe, but us? It's a bit of a tenuous link if true.

that is how sell on clauses work. We have one with Swansea for 15% of the transfer fee, so that includes any clauses. So we got a cut of the fee and then we get a cut of any extras

and we know that Swansea put in a "non relegation" clause? So we're going to get a percentage of their percentage?

Another half a million towards the deficit at least...

Well played to the lad though good to see youngsters to go on and do so well.

But just think how big the deficit would be if the EFL doesn't go ahead with the salary cap! ;)

Silver linings and all that. Rupps lottery numbers came up when Sheffield Utd went all in for McBurnie. I bet he couldn't believe his luck, a player who potentially could make you nothing has effectively stuck over £3 million in your back pocket because of Swansea developing him. If only the previous incumbents were still at the helm, that money could have gone a long way to buying the ground back or investing in youth development instead its gone to pay off a mad credit card spree. Our wondeful Captain Admin sure knew when to bail out for the maximum.

If previous owners were still in charge it would still have gone to clear the deficit

I agree but then i think we'd have been aiming around the deficit mark because McBurnie leaving for any fee never mind the one he left for was always questionable. A bit different with Wells because we effectively developed him.
