At last a bit of sense
Am still awaiting a reply from those decrying this action as to what they suggest we all do to solve the problem
starting to think they don't have any ideas

Read the reply again...twice he states it - forcing action:

"..is needed to force Rupp's hand"
    "..would force Rupp's hand"

About making Rupp do something, sell or really invest rather than the current inertia.

...and the value of Rupps investment drops so he has a choice let it or put money keep football league membership - to ensure his is protected

Rupp is literally - literally - bought in to City's success in a way we aren't.

He hasn't sold us at a loss, and seemingly won't. That tells us how much he values his investment, even if he couldn't give a toss about the club or fans.

I put them in size compared to us, not smaller.
    Should have been clearer.
Can say bigger history wise but right now stadium and support.
Both teams recently run by nut jobs but both have a fan base that has stood up to it, and had them moved on.

We should be able to easily compete with both.

Sorry fellas, dont mean to sound like a mix of Scrooge and the Grinch but what a pathetic interview with Alexander on Radio Leeds! Who was the wet lettuce doing it?
Not one remotely challenging question, we are 12th in a pretty poor League 2 and Alexander gets another free ride - no wonder we are so mediocre!
    It really is embarrassing

Don’t ask for my source but I have it on good authority that GA will be the manager with Smallwood as captain for as long as Sparks is the CEO.
Rather than Rupp selling up, his first action should be to fire Sparks, give the job to Sharpe and allow him to bring in a new manager before the January window.

I can’t get into your first point but your suggestion that Rupp gets rid of RS etc is a good start.

I agree, Sparks needs to go.

but the problem is we, the fans, keep him in his job.

because we are mugs we keep buying season tickets, the club generates a decent income, is sustainable, and Rupp doesn’t have to inject anything further (or little) to keep things ticking over.

the only way Sparks gets sacked is when the club isn’t operating sustainably and Rupp has to cut the budget or invest more of his own cash.

    BOYCOTTS ARE NEEDED!

If you had a business and paying customers stopped paying, would you just carry on doing nothing watching your business sink?

Course you wouldn't. To suggest that's what Rupp would do is utterly absurd. We know how tight he is, there's no way he would watch his investment sink into non-league oblivion.

Once he senses that there is a real downturn in ST sales he will take decisive action as anyone with any business acumen would.

If I was worth 100million and I had a pain in the arse football club I never wanted with a whining fanbase I wouldn’t give a flying feck about the 5million I’d lose if I just let it die out of spite.
Rupp could sell this club for a £1 , walk away and never look back so what’s stopping him?

    Another strange take.

No successful business person just throws away 10% of their wealth because they already have X amount.

    You clearly don't understand how this works, so just take it from the majority that his hand would be forced with a downturn in ST's which is the main source of income. When Sparks comes crying to him saying that we can't fund x, y or z because only x'000 season ticket holders have renewed, he will take decisive action, which I revert back to my OP would have to include;

    - extra investment/restructuring including the replacement of Sparks for a more qualified operator
    - putting the club up for sale at a buyable price to reclaim a solid % of his original investment

You don't just write off 10% of your net worth when there are genuine options on the table, no matter who you are.

The alternative is, everybody keeps renewing at a rate of 11/12,000+, Sparks stays in his post, Rupp keeps us afloat, and nothing whatsoever changes.

The reason you're not worth £100 million is because the people who are don't flush millions down the toilet out of spite

He paid 5million so that’s 5% of his reported wealth.
I’m not saying he’d just throw it away but it certainly wouldn’t bankrupt him to just jack it in.
What Rupp doesn’t realise is that the club is probably only worth half of what he paid 7 years ago and so he’s already lost money. Why hasn’t he sold? Why would he wait for it to drop in value further ?

Not out of spite maybe but the super wealthy do waste lots of cash on other things and they don’t really give a feck.

I feel like I've missed something, are you saying the reason Rupp hasn't sold is because there are no buyers? But he absolutely would sell if he could?

That'll be why you're not with £100 million.
