The only problem with it is that they sell the worst seats first in the corners which causes bigger problems on the day when nobody wants to sit in their crap seat.

Yes and quite often in the old days they were “ restricted view “ .

Now on sale - yet again. Total allocation 2404 with no pay on the day (although I have heard that many times over the years and then they change their mind on the day...)

If we take in the region of 2000 then I think that is a good turnout, considering it is a few days before Christmas and also how shite we have been away from home

Front 3 rows each block not on sale.
    Knock 100 off per block.

Not sure on what basis you are making that comment. Our tickets are central Block Y and were bought on 19th November!

This is an exception, mine are also in Block Y and bought on day 1 of sale.
Other away games this season though has been the opposite where the corner blocks have been sold first.
Eg. MK Dons, Walsall, Grimsby, Tranmere.

Mk dons, I bought one the day of the sale and was bottom block directly behind the goal, great seats!
    Wallsall was similar

Ok, sounds about right then I guess? Circa 2000 will be a good turnout

That’s not true at all because they sold them block by block starting in the corner.
It wasn’t until about a few days before the game that the available blocks opened behind the goal.
    Same with Walsall.

However the tickets have been sold, a following of circa 2000, just days before Christmas and all its expense , especially with our terrible away form. is a very decent effort.
Lets hope for once the boys turn up and reward the loyal fans with a pre- christmas morale booster.

Walsall certainly started in the corner, but with MK Dons I was able to select from behind the goal or the corner and even choose my individual seat and that was on day 1 of sales.

I even commented on it, on the MK Dons thread, at the time, here.

It is true, bought at ticket office on the day of sale and were decent seats on the 6 yard box behind the goal

Both times I chose to move to the side as at mk dons the drummer sat right behind which did my head in and at wallsall I had some winging tw@ right behind me who thought cook was shite and didn't stop going on about it for the whole first half so moved to the corner with the old codgers

Notts county, I got tickets in Block Y straight away which i believe is central.

Didn't go to Grimsby so can't comment on that one

Fair enough, maybe they sold out the block directly behind the goal before I bought them?

When was the last time the team turned up and gave us a great day in front of a big following?

Mad Friday last year at Donny was good, but there haven't been many recently. Could be mind playing tricks but we never seem to win these type of games

Your basic premise is correct though, too many Clubs insist on the worst seats going on sale first.

surely this most likely to be the easiest way doing it though it isnt, especially for smaller ends. They will all be printed off in order so A1, A2, A3 etc, then all printed and perforated together. No-one is going to sift through all that pick out the best seats manually and sell from there.

Will be a similar process for the online selling im guessing it will be programmed in row order unless the particular club has a set up designed to let you select your own seats, which the majority dont seem to have at our level.

When we got the Notts tickets, you could choose any in two blocks. If you want to buy a home ticket at VP, you can purchase in all the sections which are open.

Imagine the faux outrage if you had to buy block A row A first. Crazy.
for away games it makes better sense for tickets to be unreserved.
