To be fair I thought City had one of their more promising displays in that first 30 minutes. The Notts goal changed things dramatically - and was it not clearly offside?

City do have weaknesses but maybe are not hopeless and for the first this season I began to think they just might win a few on the trott. I am not a fan of Alexander and usually very pessimistic rather than deluded. I think some of comments above are unnecessarily harsh.

 

Bet we give him an extension.

Weakness at all levels of the club, Alexander is becoming an embarrassment - who, if anyone, is holding him to account? Serious point, how can any of the muppets who are running the club feel they are in a position to do so given their own miserable performances?

 

Success, sustainable progress with any organisation starts at the top. This club will not achieve anything beyond L2 mediocrity under Rupp and Sparks. It's plain as day.

 

100% we looked in control for the first 28 minutes although Jatta looked a handful with his pace.

 

Nope. Anyone who continues to fund this 'regime' is perpetuating the cycle of what we're seeing. That might sound harsh, but it's true.

The only way we are heading is down.the Germans have been a disaster from the start.We must be the only professional club in the whole of the UK with no boardroom!! We only have Alan Biggin doing the accounts and no one else !
What makes things worse is Leeds Huddersfield and Burnley are all well run and well financed.If we are not careful we will be heading for another relegation. I've followed the club for 43 years ,I've seen everything from the fire the floodlights falling down ,receivership and administration. This is the worst I've felt about the future of the club ever .We are in decline basically since the Germans bought us .If Rupp doesn't want to sell then at least bring in a board of directors
for some new ideas.At the minute the decline of the City is matching the decline of the club!

 

Point me to the harsh comments about Alexander because I'm struggling to spot them

 

Said the same a few weeks ago. He'll be one of the players Sharpe was on about when he said they are looking at extended some contracts in January.

 

If I was Ryan, I’d quit.
He is a massive failure, this is awful for his CV if this is what he wants to do.
I would blame the owner for not backing me (financially) in my next interview for a CEO job.
Probably better for himself in the long run to fall on his sword

The interviewer on Radio Leeds could have held him to account, but he didn't. The interview was like listening to two mates chatting down the pub.

 

Why on earth would he quit? He's never getting a CEO gig again in a million years, he'll hang on for dear life as long as he can.

 

No boardroom of directors just poor Alan Biggin who should be enjoying his retirement doing the books ! Even Derek Adams sussed that out when he was here amateur set up from the top!

Well, it is the season of presents, of being kind to those less fortunate than ourselves, of spreading sweetness and delight throughout the planet...just think of the joy we've brought to Notts County and its supporters. That makes it all alright...doesn't it?
