    I never got particularly involved in the political arguments that went on here but I do feel that we have lost a little from the forum. We can't really even discuss current affairs as this will invariably have some political content / bias.

    I was looking forward to @SimonW@SimonW reporing back to us about the trouble and arrests at the recent Villa game.

    Any ideas how many of those horrible Maccabi fans were arrested?

    As the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans weren't allowed to attend ofc there was no arrests of them. There were protests from both anti-isreal, anti-palestine and some of Tommy Robinson's lot. In total it was around 200. There were 11 arrests spread over all 3 sides, a few for racist language, some for ignoring requests to disperse, some for refusing to remove face coverings and 1 for trying to shoot fireworks into the grounds. Its not the same though as having a group of ultras who want to cause trouble running around the city commuting violence and doing things to try and get a response when it's already a powder keg

    Why was my latest reply about the Maccabi fans deleted due to it being a "political post" yet this one from @SimonW@SimonW is allowed to remain.

    Seems a very one sided piece of moderation.

    This thread is now becoming another one on the same subject involving Maccabi TA. The previous thread was locked as is this one now.

    It would help if all posters respected what the site owner has posted as a sticky in this forum relating to threads of a political nature Please don't resurrect any discussions on a similar topic..
