Don't make it to home games usually. Away matches in the south more likely! Doesn't look like promotion/relegation is going to be very helpful this season though. May gain Gillingham.

 

Have we not had enough of the Angols, Ramsdens, Eisa’s, Riley etc. As good as they were (or supposed to have been), they’re no use to us spending 75% of the time injured and taking up the budget. Every signing carries risks, but we don’t have the medical team of a Man City so hoping they’ll make miraculous recoveries is a hope too far for me.

 

I agree we should definitely know better and probably avoid, but it's frustrating as there's obviously a very good player in there, that's why I said if there was any way of coming up with a deal that would effectively balance out against the risk as so wouldn't screw us if the gamble doesn't come off, if that agreement could be found I'd spin the wheel.

 

Hats off . I used to drive up and back from Bishops Stortford for a few years, then Kings X by train. It got really hard when work got in the way! Now Im old and live in Norfolk!

Harsh maybe on the lad himself, but we cannot afford to waste a penny of the budget on a player who came here with a well documented injury prone reputation and has continued with his injury woes here.

We have to be brutal this summer and get rid of most of the out of contract players, including Angol.

There is of course no guarantees with any player that we sign that they will be relatively injury free, but doesn't make sense to me to risk been bitten twice with Angol.

We already have another striker contracted for next season who looks more and more unfit looking as the season has progressed.

 

Noticed this new gaffer malarkey is going down, spliffingly well. Jolly good to know he has picked a whole ONE point more in his 8 games than the grumpy Adams did in his last 8 games down at Valley 'Rupp out' Parade.

Well taking into account the first game Hughes came in two days before and in these eight games we have played the top seven teams in the league whereas in the comparison you made we played only Exeter that’s an improvement

I can’t begin to include MH, we have repeatedly said , even under Adams, we cannot turn a squad of pigs ears into silk purses, no matter who the manager is. Adams recruited most of them , Hughes is saddled with them for a few short weeks more. Once he’s had his two “ windows” to get rid and recruit then we can compare?

 

Not sure we should keep Angol as Ryan could get a couple more Admin people in the office with the savings

We looked a totally different team for the last half hour with Angol and Vernam on the pitch. Amazing how much better we can play with a striker who can control the ball and move more than a lump of wood (Cook) and a wide man who actually puts pressure on defenders in the final third rather than flattering to deceive in safe areas (Gilliead).

 

And the passing of Cooke. Although not to his usual standard, but those three changed us from a pedestrian team to one with purpose. They were poor after their subs came on.

 

And Paudie won all 15 heading duels he was involved in

 

Used to be so many away matches round here: Luton, MK Don's, Wycombe, Oxford - now they've al Ben promoted.
