I get your drift Idle , but not time to give up on him yet. A 6 month loan at the start of next season then see if he’s improved?

Where would you send him out on loan to, a non league club?, as he has struggled both here and Barrow this season

Disagree there. The lad has clear talent in front of goal and in attacking areas but needs to tidy up his general play. Costelloe on the other hand...

Costelloe has never scored a (first team) league goal. Definitely mis scouted by our management, and fully expect him to be released by Burnley at the end of the season. He was not what we needed.

He did ok at Forest Green. Started off well with us.

Only 21 so time yet to improve. I personally think he has something and ive not seen anything better from Costelleo and Nevers.

Looked useful when he was playing for Burnley earlier in the season, so someone will take a chance on him no doubt about it. Good athlete, direct runs, but little confidence or composure - another lad who probably tries a little too hard when he gets near the opposition area.

Watch him sign for Stevenage next season and bang in 15.

    Then again... maybe not lol

I hope the lad makes it wherever he ends up but from what I've seen I struggle to see what he does well enough to be effective. Has a great shot on him but then so did Danny Rowe and it was clear he had nothing else.

I think Young is better than Nevers. Costelloe I'm not sure about, not sure what his best role is. I've seen signs of a good football brain there so I think he'll play higher than the other two.

That's a bit harsh on Danny Rowe. He also had significant ball skills to go with his thunderbolt shot. What he didn't have was any kind of work ethic or team ethos and he took his bat home when he didn't get his own way. Classic 'big fish in a small pond' player.

Not at all, the guy is a classic one trick pony. Quite possibly the most immovable object I've seen since Stonehenge. A bit of trickery don't make you a footballer.

Rowe had illness problems that did not help. After going to Chesterfield he missed a great chunk of the season, and ended up going back to Fylde. Now at York,so still in the National league.Dont think i will ever forget the goal he scored against Bolton.

I really think we're gonna get battered tomorrow.

I've had this feeling all week, can't shake it. Like a 4-0 Northampton-style pasting.

I think the players really mucked it up these last 2 games.

I'm not sure we're coming back from those games, to be honest, and the way they've looked so unbelievably nervous at the back is worrying. Giving away penalties like it's Christmas, and playing our way into trouble. Northampton will just need to mark our back 4 and their defensive midfield outlet and we're toast.

They're bloody ruthless, and absolutely battered us at VP.

To quote Luke Skywalker: I have a bad feeling about this...

I think some are forgetting what pressure there is on Northampton. After last season, they will not want it to go to the final match. Even Jon Brady admits to been still scarred by that crazy final day.

If we can repeat the starts to our great away wins, i.e. Salford, Mansfield, Gillingham and Rochdale - then it's possible.

    But I see a nervy / tetchy 90 minutes 0-0.

Fair play to them, but I don't agree that they're up their with Orient as the best team. Salford, Stockport, Mansfield and us all have a more skilful / better technically adept approach to the game. But as some of us keep saying, L2 is about been effective and Northampton are easily the best at that.

We've certainly looked nervous, which isn't great for the play-offs if we get there.

However, we do tend to play our best stuff against our rivals or teams above us, under Hughes.

That was easily our worst performance this season or perhaps even last. We made them look like world beaters. Easily the angriest I've been after a match this season.

I'd argue that Gillingham were far more impressive in the first half an hour - difference was, we didn't concede that vital 2nd goal.

I also thought Stockport, Salford and Mansfield were better as well.
