He provided the best moment of an otherwise forgettable match on Saturday. Obviously given his injury record he's not one for the future but might he be the one for at least the next game to give us the experience, guile and genuine goal scoring threat which seem to be sorely lacking from our other centre forward options?

His ability to last over 60 minutes is the key question, that's for the management team to decide. In terms of footballing contribution alone I think he has done enough with recent contributions to earn this opportunity.

I spoke to Nick at a game in Billys coop when my team did the guard of honour. There were 5 city players, he was the only one who was showing interest in talking to the girls and coaches about the team. He comes across as a really decent person and a pleasure to talk to, so on that basis i was pleased he scored Saturday.

Just to add to that, no shade at the other players who didn't talk to us, they still posed and signed stuff. Every person is different in every situation.

    That's really nice to hear!

Powell definitely didn't give a good account of himself away at Newcastle but we were on a hiding to nothing there. That aside he seems to have good football intelligence when you watch his runs and reading of the game - granted this is based on very little game time. I would rather seem him than say Paul Mullin who sadly seems to offer nothing than giving away needless fouls!

We've seen in the last 2 games why Alexander stuck with him. From his interview on Radio Leeds it sounds like he's been back in training for a couple of months which will have helped coming in after so long out. I don't see him being risked from the start of a game but he's a great option to have off the bench whether it is to be a goal threat or whether it is to see out a game with his experienced.

It was a great header. And if he could do that to 10% of the balls we swing into the box - we will be promoted!
