Paul Hurst will take us down ! ...you only have to look at his failings at Scunny & Ipswich to realise hes the wrong appointment for this club. If he gets it then he can prove me (and the Scunny fans ) wrong but in the end Trueman & Sellars will be back in that dugout again before I'm back in Valley Parade.

 

They wont be our management team come April.

I think Hurst was always going to be on the shortlist, whether he gets it still remains to be seen.

Quite a few seem convinced it's all but confirmed. I still think there is a twist to come, perhaps Adams?. I think Trueman and Sellars will still be in charge on Tuesday

 

Well, at least he has experience of promotion from the National League on his c.v.!

Pre-match they kept saying "soon" but weren't committing that it would be Monday/Tuesday. They said quite a few interviews had happened, it had been a busy week but there was nothing about a decision/made a decision. What they said was the club knew their pool of candidates and were going to choose from amongst them.

 

It could only be the new guy if he arrives on Monday otherwise he has little chance to make an impact probably. I would expect T & S on the sidelines and new bloke in the stands unless we're still undecided.

Football Editor for the Scottish Sun, manager less Ross County could have to move quick.McGregor said I understand Bradford City have made a move for him.

 

The paper also says that Adams has a get out clause. Adams also still has a house in the Highlands, so may favour a return to Ross County.

We shall see how this unfolds over the next 48 hours or so

Morecambe fans will be devastated if he leaves them for Ross or us, he is performing miracles for them

 

I'm not disputing what he's reporting about us making a move, but if reports of Hurst being at the game yesterday are true, it would seem the move didn't amount to anything.

 

Adams name appeared from nowhere in the betting but I still think it's Hurst who will take our hotseat this week.

 

Adams would be an impressive move by the club and demonstrate we have some ambition and not just taking what is there,

 

I agree. I would rather see us target a current manager doing a good job elsewhere than look at the usual out of work suspects.

Credit to Sparks for trying this approach, I understand Flynn was approached, although unsuccessfully, it shows a bit more ambition than the usual route.

Having said that I think i would prefer him to Hurst.

 

He left Scunthorpe more for what was happening off the field, a lot have failed at Ipswich too. Did a good job at Grimsby and Shrewsbury. Can’t say he’s bad on the back of Scunthorpe and Ipswich, all managers have some failures on the their CV.

 

I would hope if the new manager is named this week he does not get involved with team selection until after the Tranmere game that gives him time to allow Trueman & Sellars to continue the way they have been doing and will give the new guy chance to watch from the sidelines offering advice but allowing T&S chance to get two more results.

 

Trueman / Sellars in charge for Tuesday.

Hurst announced Wednesday. Finer details being finalised tomorrow.
