I would have personally liked us to go to Exeter or Cheltenham and enquire about Taylor or Duff, 2 of the best footballing teams I've recently seen in the last couple of seasons.

The same Ryan Lowe who 29 minutes ago was quoted in the Plymouth newspaper as wanting to sign 2/3 players for Plymouth on 1st January? Or is it a different one.

 

How about Derek Adams for the job? Did a great job at Plymouth getting them promoted, first season lost in play off final then year after they finished 2nd. Took them to within a few points of the play offs then in league one. Had a difficult season and was sacked but as we know that seems to happen at this level. Not every season is year on year improvement.

he’s now at Morecambe who are unfashionable and always fighting relegation. Currently has them in 8th and level on points with sides in the play offs. Clearly over performing there and we said we were looking at managers elsewhere? Can’t see compo being too high and surely tempted by Bradford no disrespect to Morecambe. Plus recent success to shout ahout.

also took over when Morecambe were bottom of league two and looked buried but kept them up in his first season with them. Seems a good fit

For those who seem obsessed with win percentages, 42% at Plymouth over 4 seasons and 36% at Morecambe in 47 games.

 

Parker ruled him out yesterday mate. Would like him to be wrong but the man seems to have piped up and dropping little hints.

I am tempted to put a fiver on Hurst. Makes sense if the new head of recruitment is true. Both work worked before at scunny so should gel quickly.

 

Yeah XCIV -helped and were so successful Hurst was sacked

 

I think the T&A vibes, those hinted at ruled out etc, point to Hurst as a strong contender

 

Media do get a lot wrong though and sometimes the clubs use the media to send out the wrong message.
