Ryan Lowe no longer odds on after Simon Parker’s tweet, now 2-1 against. I think we can rule him out and file under fantasy football.

The worry is decent manager seeming not wanting the job and that we will do things on the cheap.

Rupp as our owner is starting to become a real issue.

I'm quite surprised by Adkins' record on looking further at it.

1.Didn't realise it was him that took Southampton from L1 to the Premiership and also has two promotions with Scunny (and a relegation) and two in his first job at Bangor. Didn't work at Sheffield United but wasn't a million miles off the playoffs, put the brakes on Hull sinking faster for a while (delayed the inevitable ?) by taking them from relegation bound to 18th (chose not t

If him, Flitcroft, Lowe & McGreal are genuine contenders then these are candidates that could all do a job without the need to dig into the dour world of Graham Alexander or the pie in the sky dreams of Danny Cowley, Mike Flynn & Phil Parkinson or the relatively untried/ I was hard done by/ giz a job I'm world famous land of Woodgate & Campbell.

Would be a bigger issue if pulled the plug on us. Need a buyer first if he’s to go and there rarer than a decent manager wanting to take the job on.

Yup and no one will want to buy it for his £10M asking price when he doesn't even own the stadium, training facilities etc.

Had heard Adkins was the one we’ve been speaking to this week. Not sure if that’s because he’s worked with Turnbull before and it’s more just chats with a view to something or he’s genuinely considered.

Surely Adkins as fantasy ain’t the right word to use? Or have we fallen that far and my expectations need to be lowered? I don’t think Adkins is all that big of a name in the game and not been in work for nearly 2 years now?

    Well that's not true.

He won't pull the plug on us because hes too far in now but the issue is he won't do anything with us.

He makes poor decision after poor decision because he acts like he isn't bothered. I said it before hes worse than Edin!

    He needs to leave!

Why? So many of the names quoted, in my opinion, will be out of our pay grade.
2020 has clearly illustrated that much is done with prudence in mind. What has changed now?

So what do we know this morning apart from Simon Parker decimating the bookies managerial list?

I'm quite surprised by Adkins' record on looking further at it.

    1. Bangor, first job at the age of 31 and got two promotions
    2. Scunthorpe, two promotions and a relegation, but should Scunny really be anywhere near the Championship anyway ?
    3. Southampton, back to back promotions and sacked so they could bring The Poch in (who wouldn't)
    3. Reading, appointed far too late to stop their relegation and sacked for not bringing them straight back up, hardly a massive stain on his CV given Reading shouldn't be anywhere near the PL.
    4. Sheff United, probably his only major failure but wasn't a million miles off the playoffs.
    5. Hull, put the brakes on them sinking faster for a while (delayed the inevitable ?) by taking them from relegation bound to 18th (chose not to stay as the club and him didn't "align")

If he is a genuine contender then him Flitcroft, Lowe & McGreal are pretty good candidates that could all do a job without the need to dig into the amazingly dour world of Graham Alexander (there's a film in there somewhere), the pie in the sky dreams of Danny Cowley, Mike Flynn & Phil Parkinson or the relatively untried/ I was hard done by/ giz a job I'm world famous land of Woodgate & Campbell.

Paul Hurst becomes the "meh" candidate.

So parker still reckons we're in for a couple of managers in jobs. He's already name dropped Flynn in his article yesterday and ruled out Lowe today, so which other employed manager could we be targeting? Maybe we're looking in the national league?
