Id stick with Truman if it was between him and the obese dribbling oaf. No not Boris, Steve.

I agree which is why I brought it up with the poster as they seemed to be thinking them two clubs have had success this season overnight.

For evidence did he change - when the wheels fell off after the Newport game - last season 1975citygent - this would support your evolving theory.

but I think as a fan I would accept that. All the best clubs have that ethos. You have a defined style and image. When a manager leaves, you don't rip up and start again. You appoint someone similar.

I'm not sure where I put anywhere that I thought those clubs had success overnight? The question I was replying too was to prove that you can have success as well as play decent footy and play youth. I want incremental improvement and use of youth even though that is a risk, but a risk worth making. I don't want hire and fire and short term fixes

I think you are talking about Mark Cooper there. Clubs have to start small. You are summing up one of our issues is that because we have a lot of fans and a big stadium that makes us more worthy and deserving of success. The sooner we get of that pedestal the better we will be as a club

We were building something similar in Stuarts second spell, or at least on the pitch we were obviously Rahic was doing his best to ruin it off the pitch. But on the pitch you could see an identity and style of play and we had success with it, that said I still remember our first loss at home in 18 months to Blackburn and it was greeted with boos around the stadium, they weren’t booing Rahic they were booing a defeat, a narrow one to a good side at that. This fan base don’t have patience even with attractive football in 16/17 McCall was often criticised on C & B for too many draws even though we attacked and created plenty of chances. It’s a nonsense that City fans will accept a few seasons for the club to find itself like Forest Green and Exeter have it won’t happen. That was all at league 1 level as well, league 2 in amplified, nobody wants to keep watching us against the likes of Barrow and Harrogate.

Question for you. Have you ever seen Boris & Evans in the same room at the same time ? Theres a Michael Jackson/ La Toya Jackson thing going on there.

What most fans want to see is progress. It doesn’t have to be promotion although that is the ultimate aim. We have seen zilch progress, or if we have it has been quickly followed by a slide backwards. Style of football is important for team identity, it makes the players proud, and the fans can identify with it.

Here’s a similarity…Went in Waitrose two weeks ago and half the shelves were empty. Bit like our club at the moment?

So you are you suggesting we play Cook up front on his own , irrespective of who comes in.

Surely not…it hasn’t worked for a year, what’s going to make it work all of a sudden?

Maybe I’m not understanding what you are suggesting?

I don't think I am saying we are more 'worthy and deserving of success', just commenting on the style I saw on that day. I think we deserve a better style of football than we have recently have had to endure. I also think that if we have one of the larger budgets, then we should be able to attract talented players. You then need someone to mold them into a cohesive and effective team. That in turn should be sufficient to see us in the top third and working towards success.

Case in point Nicky Law. We want decent football. But we don't have the patience to put up with decent footballers. i don't like to criticise fans but we don't help ourselves at times. We are a smaller version of Sunderland. 3rd in the league and Johnson has gone. Lose 3 in a row.
