I am resigned to the fact we will not get promoted this season or any season with our current owner. He is just not prepared to invest his own money into the club despite what he said in the spring. We needed a key players of quality this season and that failed to materialise. He could if he wanted pay off various players but decided not to as it probably would have required more money than he was prepared to pay. That is why GA kept coming out with contradictory information.

If you want promotion you have to invest. We have had the blue print from Stockport and Wrexham. You want the best players you go out and get them. Look where they are now.

Our massive errors over the years have pinned us in this league for the foreseeable.

 

Things will improve once we own our own ground

 

Owning our ground would be great but it will not gain us promotion. Plus we gained promotion without owning our own ground.

 

For me Steve this is the crunch season anything less than promotion and the the season tickets will really take a nosedive, the club can only live on lies for so long before they are found out, for the crowds we get and the position we are in regarding the performances we must be the laughing stock of division 2, its absolutely scandalous we have got to this position.

 

People have said that every season since we got relegated to L2 and the fans keep on coming.

 

This is true, but we really can't afford to scuff this season after last year.

As far as I'm concerned, the fans have given Rupp and Sparks the dreaded vote of confidence.

I also suspect Rupp has given Sparks the vote of confidence too.

1 point from 6 against teams we should be beating comfortably is not acceptable. Newport flying quite high so may end up being 1 from 9. Change is needed NOW - end of. The club remains a shambles from top to bottom

 

The concern is, it’s clearly not just at managerial level that change is needed.
I’m not impressed by things lately, and increasingly so, but I can’t help think that other managers would struggle in this basket case of a club at the moment.
If we sack Alexander and bring in the next manager - I’m not confident we’d see any kind of uplift in all honesty.
Not saying we don’t take action, but the problems clearly stem from far deeper than just the management and players

 

The actual gate on Monday will be interesting, not the garbage that will be spouted on the night. No doubt 16k will be announced but we will be lucky to have half of that actually in the ground on Monday.

 

If Sparks sacked GA today he wouldn't have a clue with who to replace him with. He's not thought that far ahead. I mean this is a CEO who can't even move a set of fans to a new block without causing chaos and confusion and not bothering to actually connect with the people to whom he was going to be kicking out of their seats to accomodate such a move.

Sparks is no better than Edin was.

 

Im not sure what the errors are. I just think its penny pinching and remaining self sufficient.

Its now filtered down into our fanbase. Look at thr positivity on here at signing Stockport reserves, Mansfield crocks and loans from the leagues above with little experience.etc.

Mediocrity is engrained in this club.

 

Mediocrity would be an improvement from the sack of shit steering our ship

 

They keep buying tickets, which I suppose is the point but they certainly don't attend matches. Some attendances last season looked sub 7/8000 and we're on course to see that repeated this year.

 

There was plenty of excitement about the signings. I got absolutely slaughtered by the same old posters for suggesting they weren't of a good enough standard to see us really challenging.
