Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing, I still believe it was in desperation Hughes played him but I'll take all three points no problem.

 

I read that he was the only ref who had playing experience.
Had to retire from playing at 28,so became a ref.

Has to make a difference if he can understand what he did as a player and transfer it to reffing.

 

Similar story to the best referee in the world right now, in my opinion, Szymon Marciniak

Yes I'm just teasing, hindsight is great.

But Hughes has said all week he might play Cook, and also outlined that the situation isn't perfect, so it's hardly total desperation...

We have to give Hughes his due today, though some would apparently rather tag @WilsdenBantam and try and make an argument out of us winning...

 

I'll be pissed if Hughes has put us in a back five…

I think the club would benefit from one, one game won’t change my opinion on that although I’d love to be proved wrong longer term. I’ve never said it’s impossible to leave a manager to their own devices, but for long term stability at the club I think there are more positives than negatives for having one. FYI I’m certainly not the only one with this view and you’ve not bothered to tag any of them, but if you fancy an argument I’m always happy to spar.
