That was a right trip down memory lane!

Few players I had pretty much forgotten about - Ian Nolan for one, and a couple i wish I could forget - Petrescu and Ward!

 

Forgotten about that one. We have a shite record there, lost 3-0 in FA Cup and 2-1, 2-0 in the Prem years.

 

But they've never beaten us in a cup final ......1911 (cough)..

 

Lost every match in Newcastle since 1922, 10 games. Time to change that one

 

Remember beating them up at odsal in the 1st leg then stood behind the goal at st James park 2nd leg taking a beating and the big clock at the far end seemed to stop for an hour with 5 minutes to go but we held on. Back on one of patsy's double deckers, what a night

 

If I remember it took an era to get up the A1 ?

 

I saw this on YouTube yesterday.
I must have seen it but can't really remember the game at all.

 

After the game we had a police escort back to the a1 bike outriders the business, wouldn't let us stop anywhere for a celebratory drink we ended up at a truck stop for refreshments

 

Controversial/sentimental maybe, but if Cooky's capable of playing at least 45 minutes I'd love to see him starting tomorrow night and getting the opportunity to walk out at SJP.

 

I would be very surprised to see him start but he'll be chomping at the bit to get on the pitch - feed him some raw meat and let him loose for 15 minutes

 

I’ve got no memory of that game whatsoever.
Our Premiership years kit was awful wasn’t it!

 

10-15 mins ONLY if it suits our needs at time . No point in risking his fitness down the line and sentimentality must take a back seat . 45 mins is a big stretch .

That's why I said IF he's capable of it. I very much doubt that he is but it's something I'd love to see.

 

I think we all would. Based just on sentiment , it’s a no from me if it is remotely a risk. If he can do 20 mins against Grimsby then he could if we are chasing the game or winning easily
