I don’t think there’s a cat in hells chance Baldwin plays Wednesday.

 

Difficult one team selection wise. The 'regulars' deserve a place in the side playing at a premiership side, however, I hope GA isn't too sentimental and rests a few from the starting line up.

This is definitely a free hit and take the gate receipts and bank for January. I saw a few saying pre match that the Cardiff game was a free hit, couldnt get my head around that one, as GA brilliantly said yesterday, we are not in this league for a tour, we are here to try and win every game.

For me, the Blackpool game is far more important result wise.

 

I think I would too and let McIntyre start in the middle role. Apparently he has an eye for a pass, which we know Kelly certainly doesn't, I guess it's between those 2 to take his slot?

Baldwin back in for Blackpool if it's just an issue that needs a little rest.

 

Think we may see Humphrys start up top. Swan has started the last few games so might just need a breather from the bench. Think Humphrys physicality will be factored in which will be needed against their CBs.

Too poor for this squad realistically isn’t he Kev. Shouldn’t have really extended his deal, I’m sure we could have gotten better even if we had to shell out a bit more, the extra cost would have easily been covered with the cup run. We can’t really be carrying passengers.

 

L2 at best , last resort cover at worst . That’s why the loanee was brought in , as Kelly’s showings thus far have been poor .
I didn’t see the game, all I saw was the two really unfortunate rebounds off him for their goal. Not sure how he performed?

I thought the new lad looked assured on first viewing, just very unlucky with the goal. Too early to say though. IMO Tourey has actually been our best LCB this season, which is a headache as he’s our best LWB as well! Very good player.

Newcastle have rested quite a few today against Bournemouth. Burn, Schar, Bruno, Joelinton, Barnes, Elanga not starting.

You would expect the majority to start on Wednesday or be involved in some capacity.

 

Yeah, they would have looked at our current form in league and cup and will put out a fairly strong team IMO.. they won't want to relinquish their hold on the cup to a League 1 team.
