    In all the games - he’s hardly played in the attacking embers of the final third, has he? His career stats even dictate he is anything but an attacking midfielder. He’s not a winger, or a CAM - he doesn’t play in defence and he certainly isn’t a striker. What does that leave, GK?

    Common sense will surely prevail.

    Indeed. Confuses people when there's about 19 different types of midfield positions.

    Better just having 2. Good ones and shit ones.

    He is a defensive midfielder and looked decent playing there. The attacking midfielder was Law enough said

    What passing the ball 10 feet and getting it back. Easiest role in the side to play.

    If he's in the starting 11 this year it's a sad reflection on the players we have brought in.

    I'm sure McCall had him on the right of the diamond at times which didn't suit him at all. His natural position seems to be at the base of the diamond, he looks to be more comfortable receiving the ball in his own half.
