Probably due to be being protected every match day by tartan travel rugs

NW Corner needs a lick of paint. Think someone said next summer for that.

Aren't they ok up there, certainly won't suffer from fading in the sun.

Sat up there a couple of seasons ago and all seemed in reasonable condition

Apart from the NW Corner, then they were the newest seats, compared to the lower tier of the Main Stand, Midland Road and indeed the Kop. The leg room isn’t bad and as you say they are relatively sheltered. You just need an oxygen mask to reach the highest levels (and a pair of binoculars to catch the game).

Midland Road not been changed since 1996.
    That has to be next.
Leg room and seat not suitable for the 2025 City fan.

To be fair, I think the leg room in the Midland Road is loads better than in the main stand. No complaints about our seats either, no problem with them. I think there are areas in greater need of maintenance in the ground

it is only the seats that have been replaced, no extra leg room given in the lower main stand

Not quite true. There was for want of a better term an ‘indented’ pattern of seats in the lower tier. So every second row was set slightly in from the steps. When they replaced them they discarded that system. So on my row the two end seats have more space to the side, which allows slightly more leg room.

To alter the rest of the seats space to increase leg room would mean ripping up all the concrete and resetting the actual terracing the seats are secured to. That would probably mean losing a few rows. In turn the capacity would reduce and some would lose their regular seats. From a comfort perspective it makes sense. From a cost, capacity and the consequent uproar of some losing their coveted seats……an absolute no!

I watched the Kop being built back in the day and from memory the steelwork is the exact form of each step or could be double stepped. Each step or two being one precast concrete slab . The entire framework would be also need to be altered or demolished . Like I say millions .
Just looked at some pics of the construction….My memory is good.
