Hope that's not the kit, looks like they couldn't decide what to do with it so decided to drop a bit of everything on it

I bloody hope not too. It's horrible. Stripes are stripes. No need for all the other nonsense which looks cluttered and incoherent.

Personally I'd like to see a kit like the 82 kit. Predominantly claret with a big amber stripe down the middle. And a collar on cos I think it looks smart.

It would look good in Claret and Amber, certainly more traditional as well.

Chelsea playing in Yellow yesterday …Odd when blue never clashes with red……?

I don’t get this change to blue away kit, never have done…..Blue has never been in the clubs identity?

I don't think there is an identity when it comes to away kits Kev. We had a few blue ones in the 90s, more than any other colour if my memory holds up. Claret and amber is out identity, stripes to a point but not essentially part of our DNA

I purchased my one and only blue away shirt for, if I’m not mistaken……Notts County at Wembley.
It’s the colour / club connection I don’t understand the marketing ploy behind it?
I like the idea of an all amber away kit with claret trim…. That would look good…..However home has to be traditional C&A stripes.

    No and I’m glad!

Apparently it was because the manager Touchel, had managed several previous final wins whereby the team played in all yellow. Another fine plan!

I don't think you'd be able to do an amber away kit if your home kit was claret.and amber, think there's rules about colour clash. I agree about claret and amber for home although stripes aren't that.impirtant for me. I get it with clubs like Celtic and Newcastle but we've had a lot of different designs with the claret and amber during our history.

Like you I wont throw my toys out of the pram if not stripes but I certainly have a slight preference re home stripes. Away……The choice is bewildering therefore?

I always like an alternative white away kit but just personal choice.

We had many blue away kits in the 90s.

Collar? Crikey. 1982 would make sense. We can bring back proper stitched leather footies and shorts past the knee as well
