    Would you expect any different from this club? We're backward looking and completely lacking in any sort of imagination in anything we do.

    If our approach to the current situation is appoint Sparks as CEO, Jewell as DoF and extending McCalls contract, we'll deserve everything we get.

    It’s a risky one as only certain managers will agree to work under a Director of football. We have to get this right because if McCall fails we won’t see the likes of Parky come back for example

    You see, this is the problem. Why does it matter if Stuart is on board or not? In a couple of weeks, if our league position hasn't improved, he is the obvious, disposable element at the club. It matters not what he thinks. The CEO and DoF should be appointed after an adequate recruitment process and then they should evaluate whether they are on board with McCall or not. Not the other way around.

    Honestly, this club is so allergic to fresh blood it is beyond a joke. Whoever down at VP that has the mantra of bringing back club legends when shit hits the fan needs to start living in the real world.

    I have no problem with Jewell as a manager. He did a good job for us in challenging times and with a challenging boss. I've seen nothing however to suggest he has the credentials of a Director of Football who can take a broader and longer term view of the footballing aspects of the club and build something which has longevity. If this is true, it's just more of the same short-termism.

    I'm now waiting for Sean Harvey to be appointed as the new CEO!
