I thought Osdbebe left Walsall under a cloud after giving some back to fans who were barracking him?

 

Kelly will definitely be a starter he was improving all the time and if Stubbs can get back to the form of the season before last then we need one more possible Oyegoke who finished the season well

 

If we're playing a back three then we need at least five CB's. If we get the same volume of injuries in defence next season that the attackers/attacking midfielder had last season, then we'd be in trouble. Ridehalgh has gone as well, so we've lost one player that could cover in there for some time. We need to invest in some first choice centre backs.

 

This is a bit meh, but what I'm more happy about is the early business. It sets a real image of going out to get them and we mean business which can only be attractive to other potential signings

You must have been looking elsewhere to me for the comments with all due respect, can't remember any positives for Zeli or Osedebe. As for Cook, he's often disliked by former clubs but they don't call him crap. People call Billy Sharp the far lad from Sheffield, himself included, but that's nothing to do with ability either.

 

You do you, I post nothing for likes but others like to gauge fan opinion. It's always the positive comments that go down better than negative.

My own opinion is this won't be a very good signing tbh, through other opinions and his own career which actually far inferior to Ash Taylors. Do I think he'll be that bad? No, but he's not what we need to improve the squad IMO.

 

Looks like a direct replacement for Ash Taylor.

I can see why you'd want a promotion winner as part of your wider squad, so don't have too much of a problem with it.

This would not be ideal if Matty Platt leaves, though, I think we'd need a better, younger centre half with more league experience if that were the case.

The way GA introduced CB's last season it was very much a 'bide your time, when someone gets injured, you'll get your chance, and if you play well you won't get dropped'. Looks perfect for that role. It was very surprising that we were lining up with Ciaran Kelly so much at the time, but he didn't let us down and has improved.

I can even see why we've signed a 31 year old, to be fair, as the other lads are very young relatively speaking. Don't want to see too many 31 year olds, though.

 

We need quality all over the squad. I am pretty impressed with our MF and FW options. Defence looks poor and this doesnt improve it,

 

Im not convinced on that - we have lost Tomkinson, Oyegoke and Taylor. They need replacing.

 

That's the only positive IMO - he has a bit of experience and is an 'old head'. I really hope we have another 2 coming in though.

We definitely need at least 2 LB's/LWB's, as we even let the young lad Noah go.

 

Like all new players, i will reserve judgement until i have seen him play.
He can not be any worse than a player we have had in his position last season.

I thought I remembered his name.

His played against us in the 0-0 draw at Stockport in January 23. He basically bullied all of our strikers that day - Oliver, Eisa, Costelloe and Darbyshire . He had a couple of off the ball digs at Matt Darbyshire as soon as he came on.

He will be a presence when called upon and will not be intimidated easily.

 

The Walsall fans didn't rate Osadebe at all, the contrary. The general consensus reading their fans social.media was that you'll get one decent performance every half a dozen games. Which turned out to be pretty accurate

Id say one LWB is enough. Richards is still with us eh....Gilli another option.

 

If he plays the same role in the squad for us as he did for Stockport and we achieve the same league position as Stockport did this season, would he still be a poor signing?
