Does that article confirm Odour isn’t part of the plans to add to the Smith& Wilson duet, as we suspected all along?

 

At one any point this season will we face a midfield as good as theirs ?????

 

Was reading through and wondering why nobody mentioned Tilt, he was up for mom last night in my opinion, when one of their players clobbered one of ours he was fuming and let him know,we need that aggression,and yes everyone stood up and clapped when he went off,well deserved and a nice surprise as everyone seemed to write him off before seeing him

Enjoyed last night's friendly & the usual "who the hell is that" when trying to figure out who the new signings are and where they play.

One thing though is we have some right muppets who come to watch BCAFC. Sat in E Block, just before kick off a big family group comes in to sit a couple of rows behind me. They start kicking off with the bloke sat at the end of the row as he hasn't stood up straight away to let them all past. This leads to them 'F ing & Jeffing" in front of their small kids. "don't kick off with my I have f'ing kids with me.." etc etc. "Don't f'ing swear at me in front of me 'F'ing kids"... etc etc.

To top it off, one of the kids then throws up all over the row in front just before half time.. no apology or anything. Apsolute Scrots!

 

Ah, football season is upon us…

 

Whittaker really was a joy to watch.

 

The thing I meant to put in my original summary of it was we were quite clearly taking it more seriously than them, we'll be a week further along as well with them not starting the season for another 3 weeks

 

I also liked the look of Micah Hamilton who played down their left in the second half.
Fast, tricky and wasn't afraid to take men on.

 

Id imagine so at times yeah. Im not overly familiar with the middlesborough set up but from their fans on social media seemed to suggest that the first half side was fairly strong yet they ended up with nowhere near the best 11 on the pitch.

Not that they have a great 11 mind, they've lost a few better players from last year and have failed to make a siging thus far

 

Probably a dodgy pint.

 

Did remind me of Bellingham the elder, he just glided about the middle.

 

According to their forum that first half was pretty much their starting 11, without further signings.
They are on pretty much on a downer , suggesting our fans observations are the same as theirs , decent on the approach with no end product and lamenting any decent forward(s) , if available, will cost a fortune because some believe they are leaving it too late?

 

Not seen any of the pre season games so can't comment on how Tilt has performed so far for us.

I rarely have much of an opinion when we sign someone because they tend to be unknown to me or if I have seen them play I can't recall what they were like.

Tilt is an exception, saw him in a couple of games last season on TV where Salford were playing our promotion rivals so i had a vested interest. To me he stood out as a real leader on the pitch and a pretty fearsome competitor so I was actually pretty pleased when we signed him.

People are so quick to dismiss players as being terrible signings based on not a lot, then a few bad vibes just turn it into a fact in the minds of some fans. I hope his decent pre season form carries into the league!

 

Hands up, I suggested he was slow and cumbersome , in hindsight I was hasty . We can always do better of course but he is a step up as an all round left footed defender than Kelly. Once a settled back three and LWB get to know each other I believe he may be a smart signing.

 

Ha, I totally get this. We have more than our fair share of Neanderthals following the club. One woman in the kop concourse last year said to her child that he was “doing her f*****g head in”.

Thankfully a pleasant bunch around us in the kop, more so since a bloke who couldn’t watch the game without swearing every other word moved to a different area of the ground.
