Strangely a mate of mine was at a wedding at the Bankfield Hotel a few weeks ago and saw Mezza at breakfast. My friend is a Leeds fan so only knew who it was through a friend of his, or he wouldn't have realised. I found it odd because he should be living in London and be in pre season with Millwall. Maybe he was just visiting a friend who knows.

 

See Meredith has had his contract terminated at Milwall.

 

Good - hope his career goes down the shitter.

 

He didn't return to the club for pre season so shows you the measure of 'the man'.

 

Steve Morison did an interview when he left on loan calling out a player for problems with the squad and said "if the truth about him came out, he would be banned and never play again".... days later Meredith has his squad number stripped and told not to report back for training. Could be a 1+1=3 deal, but doesn't sound like a good situation for him especially after signing a long term deal 12 month back. Apparently was on trial/training with Burton last week.

 

He could well learn from the Dingoes - Running is not as easy with your tail between your legs !

 

Good luck to him, always gave 100% here and played a big part in some of my best memories supporting the club.

Sounds like he’s let himself down though.

 

Real shame if that is the case. He'd made a very good career for himself and I thought he was terrific for us.

Hope he gets back on track.

Nobody knows yet, but it’s better to throw dirt and back track later if needed. Something like that anyway.

James Meredith has left Millwall after his contract was terminated.

The 31-year-old, who hadn’t reported back to Calmont Road for pre-season, signed a new long-term contract last July, but departs after two years at The Den.

The defender is now a free agent.

 

Well it depends what he has been up to.

 

Without doubt but if it's what some are suggesting/implying the powers that be will define if he plays football again or not.

 

I think he will probably return to Australia now
