This is the part that is interesting to me.

Let's play out one scenario...maybe Ryan is playing the short and the long game.

He sort of insinuated that there may be a point when we can't do any more at Woodhouse Grove in the fans forum when asked about it.

He's now brought in a sponsor that has said they would base their UK operations in Bradford, thereby creating jobs in the area.

We then get to a point where we need a new training complex.

That then creates more of an interesting conversation with the council. City brought in investment to the area. Perhaps the council will be more accommodating with helping in terms of finding a place for a new training complex?

I may be far off and none of that may happen but you never know.

 

with Microsoft teams many of these jobs are remote - if they have software teams in place already they dont need anyone in the uk. Ive worked in IT for 35 years , bums on seats is becoming a thing of the past when you can harvest from a wider talent pool globally. I worked on a IT security project recently, developers in UK/USA/France all on the same project using online collaboration tools.

Sounds like this may have come off the back of us playing Birmingham in front of American owners etc. Not sure how that fits, but at some point it has.

 

Great info , but as suggested earlier it can be remotely undertaken , so location no longer becomes relevant? .
I don’t think we know enough about their plans as yet so we are all speculating perhaps?

My Cousin in Law (made up title, but covers what i want to say) works for a company in San Fran. He lives and is based out of Switzerland, Zurich. He used to work for an Ozzie company not too long back. So yes roles can be remote.

I guess some are done on site though, otherwise everyone would just recruit staff from all over the globe.

 

Not telling but guided tours are £5

 

Maybe directors box chat?.. you know.. "You should give these guys a call, I know they are looking at entering the UK market and are keen on soccer sponsorship"

 

Maybe a Bradford office will be just a UK help desk.

I would guess that they will need a UK based sales team, client relationship managers and business support and implementation teams. Although some of that can be done remotely, a significant physical presence will probably be needed in the UK.

 

Rahic is definitely a banker.. or something like that.

 

They can always find an Alice or an Adam or even a Kevin in Bradford.
