Red Bull wouldnt countenance ground or shirt sponsorship by a third party. Locating an office to Leeds bears no real relevance in that line of work? Like I say it could evolve in one of my garden buildings .

 

Its only words so far but it does sound like it might be an interesting journey. Not sure how deep their pockets are but Ryan was certainly talking up the value.

 

Not entirely sure but I think it helps Banks with their digital conversion/upgrade.

My point on Leeds wasn't really about anything on the football club side. Just making a broader point that a tech firm with serious ambitions and potential wouldn't set up in Bradford, they'd set up in Leeds. Or, as I say, a cutting edge tech firm wouldn't even need a base in the country they were setting up shop in.

Lets hope its a good thing for the city and club, but for now I'll reserve judgement and temper expectations. Fair play for the club looking further afield though.

Does sound like their uk office will change to valley parade so will be renting office space. Lots of marketing words, interesting to see the reality. Hiring locally could be a few sales and marketing staff to help break into the football side of their business, they wont entice many software developers to manningham. Going to be interesting to see what happens and if JCT are still onboard.

They perform various digital services such as BaaS (Banking as a Service), CUaaS(Credit Union-as-a-Service) and also serve non-financial brands in art, sport and small to medium businesses providing customer engagement systems, inventory and payment systems.

Basically they have proprietary software on which they can build almost anything to aid business processes.

 

Qualified software engineers move out of Bradford to date, in the future to find employment, they won’t if they are good enough .

 

Yes, their website states 'white labelled' software - so basically it can be 'branded' for any company or business quite easily.

 

As someone actively trying to hire a fellow software engineer/developer for my team and keeping an eye on the market at the minute, the software job market is bone dry in terms of decent opening for developers/engineers, but the pay benchmarking in Bradford is way lower than Leeds. I had a meeting with a legal IT recruiter in the last few weeks, they fill out the pay benchmarking for us and will scan the roles we have open and roles we have filled if we ask to, then see what other firms in Leeds are paying for those roles and mark that against Leeds and wider range Yorkshire for scales. Just in our industry, so software developers and design engineers at law firms were the roles I was asking about, most roles are a good 15-20% higher pay in Leeds centre at the minute compared to Yorkshire as a whole.

Most of our local candidates are Leeds, Sheffield or Manchester based, very rarely we get another Bradfordian applying.

 

I hope JCT will still be on board in some capacity. I'm not ready to lose the little ball carrying car we all love.

 

My son is a data engineer and works locally. He felt he was underpaid and was offered a job in Leeds at significantly more. Current employer upped their offer considerably.

 

Maybe a drone in future?
