    Smallwood recycling the ball to Power will work.

    Good range of passing and long range shooting, something we've sorely lacked (but Pattison was our guy for that if anyone ever tried).

    Another strong midfield option, just slightly worried that Smallwood-Power-Sarcevic in a triangle in the middle would be too old.

    If numbers are anything to by these days, he plays the 6 position which is the same as Smallwood, but gets forward more like Patto. I’d say Patto is the one who could miss out.

    He’s probably the “Walker alternative” , plenty of rotation/ subbing will go on , I’m sure ?

    Just a minor concern he’s not made a start for a whole season and has come on as sub 14 times I believe?

    Mackem mate said ‘quality signing’. Says he’s box to box and plays as the 6 or 8, rather than as a 10.

    Richie is keen to stay and is proven above L1. I think it is Patto’s spot he’ll be eying up.

    Yeh well Patto needs competition, and does get an injury here and there. GA has his favs but also likes to rotate his men so 2 very nice options there.

    You are over estimating the quality of League 1 and underestimating the Danish League. It's hard to rank leagues especially when it's comparing a top level in one country to a second or third tier but there are data analysis groups who do produce league rankings. For example one if them has it as

    And they are all fairly similar. So its sandwiched between Mexicos top division and Hollands top division

    Where as League one is

    The one thing that might be a worry is AGF released him at the end of April. They have played 3 matches since (including one today) and have 1 match left to play. Why would they release him now and not wait a month?
