I was suggesting common sense that’s all.
As previously mentioned, the Luton tickets were the 5th batch of away tickets sold within the same monthly pay cycle for most fans which is unusual and completely unnecessary.
That’s my point, take it or leave it. If you don’t agree it’s a tad unfair then fair enough.

I suggest you read the context of the topic.
It’s not a pat the club on the back thing because they’ve excelled at selling away tickets.

It's seems this is your problem not the clubs. Supply and demand dictates the club made thee right decision putting them on sale when they did, sometimes we have to accept the world doesn't revolve around us as individuals. I'd like to have been going to Mansfield tomorrow but supply and demand dictates I can't. But that's life, I'll watch on the TV instead.

I've read the context of the topic which revolves around a non existent problem.

It’s a non existent problem for you and anyone else that don’t attend EVERY away fixture.
If I ask the question directly to members of this forum who do attend EVERY away fixture, do they think it was right to sell 5 lots of away tickets in the same month, 6 weeks in advance?

It really is a sign of how good things are at the moment that the only thing to complain about is that away tickets have gone on sale too early and you have to buy them straightaway or they will sell out due to the demand. We really have come a long way from threads about people boycotting games.

Show me a rule or section of the contract where it states a fan is entitled to a ticket just because he goes to every game? That's right it doesn't, it just means you have a chance of picking a ticket up before other fans. If you can't afford it then I'll be brutally honest that's tough titty fella. Dip into savings or borrow on a credit card if you're that desperate, it's a bit like me seeing some nice clobber in the sales. I see 5 nice shirts but can only afford 4. I either try and raise the cash to buy the 5th shirt or accept I can only buy 4. If I go back next month to find that shirt has been picked up by someone else I ain't going to complain to the company about their selling policy.

City cannot put tickets on sale until they are allocated by the host club.

The tickets for ‘home’ supporters were released on or before 17/12/2025.

Luton run the risk of having numbers of ‘away’ fans attempting to buy tickets in the ‘home’ section, if there is a disparity in the release date.

As @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart has pointed out the away allocation sold out. I understand they went to the first two priority bands and Season ticket holders.

So before Christmas, 1,342 Bradford City supporters had the finances to purchase tickets.

Despite the timing of the release, the fixture is completely sold out.

As the tickets have only been available to Season Ticket holders, they have gone to committed fans.

Fine, put the Exeter tickets on sale now then. I’ll have 4 for the promotion party. :)

Regarding the sudden rush of ticket sales, just before Christmas, I do recognise that this was far from ideal for some people. I would suggest that anyone who was impacted by this, raises the issue via the Supporters Board.

Ideally tickets for away matches should go on sale at least 12 weeks before each match (wherever possible), to allow people to plan their trips, purchase cheap train tickets etc. I do believe that sales should be spread out across the season, although I would like to see a limited number of away season tickets being made available.

Personally, I have no problem with when the Luton tickets went on sale, although I do find it strange that they were put on sale before the tickets themselves were 'available'. Of course, such arrangements are not unusual in the music industry and those that follow particular musicians/bands often find all the dates going on sale at the same time, with tickets not being distributed until much later.

Exactly and right back to where we began , tickets will sell out quickly it if there is a demand , and not a bad place to be I say.

The problem is that Loyal Bantam thinks that the self-selecting band of uber ultras whose personal circumstances allow them go to nearly every away game should always get first access to away tickets, regardless of how long other people with different constraints have been supporting the club.
The points system is good, but it does create a bit of a closed shop.

I’m sorry but this ‘closed shop’ theory is wearing a bit thin.
For almost every away game this season the sales have reached general sale and some didn’t sell out like Cardiff and Plymouth (I went to both).
Even today there is availability for Lincoln and Vale so it’s far from a ‘closed shop’
It’s just there’s a few people on here that whine about not getting a Huddersfield, Blackpool or Luton ticket when they’ve barely attended any other games.

Thanks for having an impartial / open minded view that others on here don’t seem to possess.
I agree with your concept of early sales to facilitate travel plans.
Personally I wasn’t impacted by the early Luton sale as I’m lucky enough to be quite affluent. I was thinking from other fans perspective whom might have had limited funds just before Xmas and thus opened the debate.
Some on here sadly wanted to make it about ‘poor loyalbantam’ ha ha he didn’t get a ticket which wasn’t the case.
If away tickets are to go on sale very early then I do think that the priority windows should be longer than 2 days to facilitate the priority sales having a longer period of time before general sale and a wider opportunity for this to fall into a new payday.
Some will agree with that but I suspect most on here won’t.

Anyway, end of debate please lock the thread.

Christ, you've moaned your head off about Luton tickets and it doesn't even affect you? What a wonderful way to end your participation in this thread.

Thanks for the advice. The thread may be locked later but others may still want to continue the debate even if you don't want to. Yours is not the only view on here and others' opinions are no less worthy despite what you may believe.
