Bring Sutton back in to midfield. Great engine and never stops working. Can tackle but also pick a pass for an assist and score the odd goal. Yes I know some call him shiet but he is less shiete than what is failing game after game. He is a bit steady Eddie but we need that at the moment

 

Sutton can't pass wind and his engine as you put it has been non existent since he got Covid at new years.

Just because Gilliead isn't any good and Smallwood has been below par doesn't mean and even more inferior player should suddenly be getting game time.

 

He worked his socks off and scored in the cup. He has come on as sub and helped see games out such as at Salford. His pass rate completion is no worse than the rest of the team and better than most. He needs a run to get up to speed but will not get it under MH. He will get a good move in January and deserve a better chance than here

I just want a team to perform, and a manager who is not afraid to admit he is wrong and change things.

 

I thought defensively they weren’t up to much, if we could finish and had a decent referee we could have been two up before they scored. Yes they were good going forward, but rode a lot of luck defensively imho.

We keep blaming MH for our weaknesses but how much could Hodges be culpable for our dismal displays .. ?

 

Possibly, people have always said the importance of a good number two. Also people on here have praised and criticised them in the past. But he’s not really been mentioned this time. All have a part to play imo.

I think that's the issue. He likes to take on his man but gets bullied off the ball far too often and has several times coughed up possession and left us in the doo doo.
