But the aren’t ‘primarily supporters’ are they. They are essentially ‘representatives’ of the club and should therefore be working in conjunction with the board - who are responsible for laying out their vision and direction for the club.

Wow...just wow. It's incredible how much people are trying to read into this and getting their knickers in a twist. Yes it was maybe an ill-judged gesture, maybe even with a hint of mischief about it, but the way even normally level headed posters are suggesting it's a deliberate all out attack on Edin and the club is laughable. I'm sure it was intended as some sort of joke with yes possibly a hint of mischief. People are now attacking the overall motives and egos of the group involved. Sure being part of that group is an ego thing for them - isn't everything - even posting on here and looking to see how many likes you get! This has been blown out of all proportion, get a grip people.

That's fair from the point of view of naming the sponsorship. At worst it's ill judged.

What is the motive behind releasing that to the public under the guise of Bronco's own words with an anti Edin slant. That's the interesting part to me. Was that intended as a joke with a hint of mischief?

I have answered the bullet points as underlined above, sorry can't do colours. I n respect of Jam's points I answered this days ago when I said I had emails and voice which contradict Jam. One point which seems to have been missed. Of course Guiseley said they could not proceed with the sponsor name. There are only two parties to the sponsorship, Guiseley and the sponsors themselves. The question was why do it when they know James, he drinks there, is a Guiseley lad and has sponsored the Guiseley juniors as I hear. They were quite happy until they were not BUT all water under the bridge now.
As far as Ambassadors are concerned the list at the end of last season was Alan Biggin, Steve Longbottom, Graham Jones, Dennis Matthewman, Jean Matthewman, Simon Hartley, Glenn Ackroyd, Keith Petty, Norrie Richards, Adrian Lee, Mark Roebuck, James Lockwood, Mark Richardson, Lena Owen and myself. I have spoken to the Club today and it will be updated as renewals occur. Additional the playing rosta will be updated when squad numbers are allocated.

    Hope this helps, I'm done.

31 pages in, and I'm still confused as to why the the original post was made.

Hi Aaron, I get your point but I don't want to get involved in the arguments, particularly as I don't now for sure that that was was the case. Bronco quoted "something he had heard" which was probably of interest to us all. Bronco as we all know is sceptical of Edin and his motives so maybe that was the tone of his original post. But what has gone on from there is frankly embarrassing........yes even more embarrassing than a group of grown men calling themselves the Naughty Boys :)

I think it's been pointed out and generally accepted that the words in the first post are not Bronco's and have therefore come directly from people involved in the sponsorship. I don't think anybody has even disputed it.

Why is such a relatively minor, and some would say childish, matter being publicised in that manner?. What are the motives around it and are the Ambassadors truly working with the club or against it?

I've asked Roger a couple of times what names the "Naughty Boys" **cringe** have sponsored the games under in previous years, why he believes such a trivial matter was made public in this way and whether he thinks it's how ambassadors to the club should behave to benefit the club.

As yet I've had no answer but we do know that the Naughty Boys are thoroughly good chaps and can throw a party at a free bar which is the envy of the league. Unfortunately that isn't the point.

Hi Aaron, please don't take personal offence. I don't want to get drawn in the arguments. You make some valid points but as I say, I think the whole affair has been massively overblown

Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but if the game is still available for sponsorship, and the "Naughty Boys" were willing, then maybe make it a tribute to Dr Vince

If Jams info contradicts your own info, how did Edin find out about the sponsorship if it wasn't Guiesley that contacted him ?

Perhaps it would possible to post the text of your email or a transcript of the voicemail. Anything that smacks of evidence or facts. At the moment it would seem wetherbywaler is just making baseless assertions.

Just had the thought that perhaps maybe it could be an annual thing with perhaps a shield to play for??
