Hilton, Ashby/Kelly, Penn, Lapslie, Bobby, Swan, Hump.

Between Powell and Bobby surely? Cant see him going 1 defender on bench. Harsh on Laps to miss out. Swan an out and out striker so there by default.

 

I've got a sneaky feeling that Powell might start? Not even really sure why but i think he might want someone who can win a header for an hour or win a foul at least, and then go to Humphrys. I think Sarce and Jackson support Powell from the start, Lapslie back to the bench. I think Tyreik comes on at HT, might not be fit enough for a full game.

 

I’d go Ty from the start if he’s not fit enough to do the whole game.

Need to be positive from the first whistle and he gives us forward momentum.

Hopefully it negates Cozier-Duberry a bit as well.

 

I dont mind Powell, I just think it would be 2 from 3 outta him, Bobby and Lapslie. You may well be right....i just think to myself after all this talk about Cook not been a GA type of striker that presses hard from the front and here we are....with Nick Powell.

If it was up to me, it would be Lapslie that misses out (I dont think he does btw). Harsh I know but for all that energy and effort, I see very little quality.

 

I only think Ty is on the bench for that same reason. He'll want forward momentum in the second half and possibly added on time, i think GA is too pragmatic to want to attack from the off.

If Tyreik starts, he is probably getting an hour and best and there is no like for like. Lets say Touray then moves to LWB, he is a defensive move and the balance will just go completely and the forward momentum takes a massive dip when Touray is LWB.

 

That January window is up there with the Platt/Banks substitution for me

 

Yup. I’d like to see Touray at left CB with Tyreik at LWB and Tilt on the bench. Also Penno in for Joe Wright for better link up with Josh and move Baldwin to the middle from where he can hit the diagonals both ways.

 

Jackson passable. Ashby showed promise but a crock. The other 5 are just wasters.

Whatever we have some occasion to look forward to , lets make some noise and showcase our club.

 

I think Jackson does have something. We were really unlucky with his injury. Ashby at least looks a footballer but as for the others-wow!!! No guarantees with any signings but I do wonder just how much input GA had in bringing in the likes of White and Sibley. He's certainly made a point having completely binned them both off after absolutely shocking first half performances in separate games.

Its a 3 out of 10 transfer window for me, so definately not an improvement

 

GA wanted White in the summer. Turned us down for Orient. And went back in for him after a failed spell...

 

Mullin had a good career...but terrible at L1 level. Failed Wigan spell enough for me...

I completely forgot Sibley was here. White too. The January window was a failure, no doubt. Far too haphazard and random. But otherwise, its been a hugely credible return to L1.

Just give it everything tonight boys. Its a very tough ask, but leave everything on the pitch and have no regrets. That's all that can be asked.

 

In that case it's one that has to go down as an error of judgement which can happen to the best of managers.

 

Ahhh well he was a bad signing, we'll assign that one as Gent signing.
