I've just realised this could be the last time we see Sarcevic in Claret and Amber depending on the result and contract negotiations.
Wouldn't it be fitting for Sarcevic to score the winner against his old club and send Valley Parade into rapturous scenes.

 

I hope he stays regardless of our division. We obviously have to accept we are going to get a lower number of games from him, but his experience and general football brain, I think is invaluable and worth a contract on its own.

All I ask is that we give it a go, and don't limp out barely raising a finger. So far 0 shots on target after 90min of football (to be fair Bolton have only had the 1) is going out with a bit of a wimper.

When we played Carlisle the other year, them getting an earlyish goal saw the atmosphere turn and really got the crowd behind them. I think the atmosphere will be flat if we try play it safe keep the score 0-0 till the second half and try a tactic like that. We just need to go for it, as we have nothing to lose. Hopefully Bolton turn up to our place with the same mentality Mark Hughes installed into us at Carlisle playing not to lose, because if they do it will literally be playing against their strength of taking the game to teams.

They don’t keep many clean sheets either and we’ve only failed to score at home twice this season, losing only twice.

I can’t believe you won’t have done it. There’s nothing premature or Billy Big Balls about this just studious pre planning to have everything in place just in case. If you’re planning on taking 30k plus people down to London for the final in only a couple of weeks it surely makes sense to plan ahead?

A sensible controlled game is required by us. We are just 1 goal behind.

Even if we get to the 70 min and it’s 0-0 it’s fine. However, we will need a 15-20min spell in the game in which we do attack them.

Absolutely. Saturday we were on the back foot yet had 3 decent chances to score. Their defence can be got at.

 

Just on shots on target, I don't think it's a flawless metric of how close we came to scoring. We got in behind one on one three times in the first leg. True we should've been more clinical but I'd say that's a closer indication of our threat than hitting three pea rollers from 30 yards that trickle through to the keeper.

 

It's not flawless but it's probably the only real marker of intent you can put on a game. One of those you wont win if you don't buy a ticket things and we just need to up the end product compared to Saturday.

 

If we remain in L1 he 100% stays. If we go up to the CH then I'm not as certain.

 

Nope, we have had a fair few tips to Wembley and I have never seen our fans behave like that. Maybe inquiries are made - but to openly advertise it like that is arrogant and asking for trouble.

Tbf it looks like it will be the conditions for "having a go" too against this keeper. Maybe less bending it in from 20/25 and just try getting over it, hard and low type if we go peppering the goal. Think we tried that in the league game a few weeks back? I remember Humps, Power and maybe it was Metcalfe all tried aiming high from the edge of the box and all cleared my seat halfway up block C of the Kop.
