Has this been confirmed by the club?

 

Now that is a very good question!

 

Very little coming out of the club at the moment Fordy. Rumours a few days ago that Sam Collins left, has yet to be confirmed by the club, as far as I can see.

 

Would the £300k saving be approximately what the club has lost in this year's season ticket sales over last year's? If that's the case, it suggests that the first team budget is being propped up not increased.

 

Again, I have no idea. I'm merely suggesting possible ways of increasing revenue. Perhaps a few City supporting Business men may consider being involved - With a carrot of discounted rates for using the suites for meetings and promotions etc ?

Coventry City never owned the stadium and land. It was owned by a local charity and the council.

 

They owned the training facilities and academy which were sold off

 

No assets now and SISU want £20 million upfront for anyone to buy the club.

 

If it is true I would be suprised if Edin announces it.
Many fans have said (me included) they don't have a problem with Edins dream as long as it isn't to the detriment of strengthening the first tean squad, or the owners wanted to fund it separately and then take any profits from the development squad as players were sold.
I'll await confirmation but credit to Grayson if he's made Stefan see sense, just a shame its taken 2 seasons and we have lost Phil Parkinson and Stuart McCall in the process.

if this gets confirmed then fair play Stefan and Edin, a wise decision and shows they are serious when they say lessons were learned.

To be fair, if they're employing a strong character, you'd expect them to want a big say in where our limited funds will be invested.

If it's some no-name coach, perhaps not.

These rumblings - if true - suggest we're going for a respected name.

 

It completely goes against the update statement they put out last week, though. whats changed since that?

 

Im not 100% certain it has been fully desolved or what ever but what i got told some weeks ago that it was been watered down and fazed out gradually etc.so time will tell ......

 

I will wait until/if there is announcement

 

Great news if true providing it puts the money saved towards first team budget, it was crazy spending that much on a development squad when the first team was gash.
