Last season is forgotten, Collins tells Bantams

Football is fickle. If we’re top 2 after 5 games everyone will be perfectly happy and all will be forgotten.

Not sure we should/need to forget last season but everyone should move on. The second half was a disaster, we all know that, but it’s done and the changes have been extensively made.

All top teams move on from disappointment: Man City this season vs 4th last season, Chelsea when they finished 15th and followed that by winning the league. Not sure why some are implying that we shouldn’t move on, it’s the only thing to do if you want to succeed going forward.

Fair point - yet as this was an interview made for the T&A, it could well be more of a message to the supporters, who are not 'new'. And yes it is a 'Fresh start', as yet again all the teams KO in August on zero points, and equal hopes.

 

Absolutely, and harping on and on about what happened last season would be a sure fire way to dent the hopes and ambitions of the players (new as well as those still here from last season) so what would be the point? A fresh start and clean plate are the best ways to move forward, dwelling on the past and what might have been never ends well.

 

I do hope your wrong @Rcbantam, but did we get so lucky that we interviewed several applicants, none were good enough or didn't fancy the job once explained what would be expected, yet right under our noses we had two ideal candidates who neither applied or were asked to do the job until quite recently.
