I agree Guthrie was terrible and I agree that his lack of interest compounded that. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of City fans when they're constantly telling others on the forum who they're allowed and not allowed to be critical of.

Harrogate have been given one of the relegation spots following allowing him to score against them today.

 

A great effort from Guthrie but unfortunately just fell 4 games short of big Jims record of 43 goalless games.

Mind you, I wouldn't bank on Guthrie not breaking that in his next 44 appearances.

 

And that's because James Hanson was a physical wreck when he had his long goalless run - a pale shadow of the player he had once been.
Guthrie had no such excuse.

Maybe not. But as our third highest scorer ever, History Maker, and hero of numerous famous wins, he had credit in the bank that Kurtis Guthrie doesn't have and never will. So most fair- minded City fans are prepared to overlook Hanson's late career decline and remember him as the powerhouse he was in his prime.
