He was far better than Duke and the telling factor is that since he went (apart from Pickford) have we signed anyone better? I'd say no.

 

He was alright for us but nothing more. I'm glad to see he's doing well but lets not go down the road of thinking we made a mistake letting him go at the time.

 

I said at the time we wouldn't get better in the lower leagues although we have probably had similar at times. I wouldn't say it was a huge mistake because we'd never have got a fee for him but we certainly wouldn't have been worse off if we'd have kept him.

 

Six clean sheets in a row now,yet to concede a league goal this season.He cant be that bad.

 

we always seem to do alright with keepers anyway tbh, I cant recall the last proper No.1 keeper we had that was wank.

 

If you listened to the right (ie, wrong) plonks in the relegation season, ROD was that man.

Except he obviously wasn't.

 

Think there was only @Ricc that constantly slated him. Most people worked out he was just attention seeking though and he seemed to get bored and stop posting.

Jon McLaughlin starts for Rangers at home to Livingston today.

 

Don't think we know the circumstances but he is one lad we should have kept hold of...

 

He’s done well and hats off to him. He always seemed like he had a mistake in him for some reason but you can’t knock how his career has progressed (see Sunderland against us for example!). But overall he should be rightly proud of himself.

 

The season he was out of contract Phil Parkinson allowed him to still train with the squad, I spoke to him and asked if he was staying, he said he was awaiting an offer, I think he was awaiting a better offer as we know Jon McLaughlin looked after Jon McLaughlin and quite right.
Take Pickford out of the keepers we've had since he left and IMO overall no one was better.

 

He's gone on to better things but theres hardly a Bradford fan out there who thought at the time it was a great loss.

 

Very few questioned Phil Parkinson's decisions at the time with regards players coming in or leaving, take Pickford out and our resent keepers and they have been much of a muchness.

 

As I recall, Carl McHugh and McLaughlin were basically sacrificed because of financial constraints caused by, amongst other thjngs, Aaran McLean's wage. Not a great decision.

 

Old Jonny Mac had a blinder tonight, playing a big part in them qualifying for the champions League group stages.

Fair play to him, probably 6 games on the one biggest stages in world football, fair play to him on that score

 

Saw it but to be fair they were already 3-0 down and not in the game at all.
