Is he still carrying a knock. Doesn't even make the bench today

100% if he was fit he would be on the bench in place of Pointon

The pitch has been narrowed by one metre to the minimum allowed 69 yards.

Chased all pre season, eventually signed and played an hour against Newcastle kids and has now seemingly disappeared.

Anyone know of any injuries being mentioned or his he another "younger" signing that when all said and done isnt up to the required level a la nevers, tulloch and ofaka .

Who would you have left out of the matchday squad to accommodate him? I guess now we don't have any backup defenders, he may get his chance on the bench.

Not sure to be honest, but on paper it just looks like another odd signing. Its not very clear what his strengths are and the quote below shows he featured as an attacking midfielder for Morecamble last year, a position in which we well stocked for.

City see Adams as a versatile option who can play as one of the “eights” in midfield or drop back into a deeper holding role - making him a direct replacement for Alex Gilliead by the looks of it.

Quinn added: “Morecambe play a 4-2-3-1 and he operated as the attacking midfielder. But he was often the last man because he was that fit.

Sounds like a jack of a all trades, master of none, even more so with the mention of Gillead, who we were told last week wasnt going to be near the squad, so what should we make of his signing?

is he simply a "bums on seat" signing, who will come in it less than half Gillead was, if so , I dont see how any party benefits, and its just a waste of time and money

After reading Sharpes comments last week and Alexanders comments on Gilliead it does seem that your last paragraph has merit. Sharpe spoke of letting big earners/big wage demands go elsewhere if they weren't first teamers (bar Platt who was a regular) and if indeed he was a Gilliead replacement then he's well down the pecking order. Bizarre signing really as Gilly was let go as surplus to requirements.

Really? I don't mind him, I'd have left his brother Neil out.

It is a completely odd signing, hence the question as we were already well stacked in that area of the pitch.

I've done it so many times it just autocorrects it now and I can't be bothered changing it!

It's double L at the end though you pedant.

Yes in Ga's interview after we'd signed him he implied he'd be used in a few different positions. Done right by Gilly, letting him go rather than letting him rot and replaced him with another utility player on loan.
I was at Newcastle where he played as an AM and didn't do a lot, hard to see him getting in front of all the options we have there.

Solely judging him on the performance in the Newcastle match he looked a bit lost in the number 8 role defensively with Alexander having to give him a lot of instructions in the 1st half. Going forward he looked a lot better but with that I don't see who he gets in the 18 league ahead of as I don't see him ahead of Pattison or Pointon which then means taking other position off the bench to add another central player. I thought he looked like a number 10 who was being asked to fill in a role.

We must have a plan for him in this squad after chasing him all summer and the only CM player we brought in was Sarcevic but he was right at the start so the plan was always for both of them. The only way I can see him getting near the league team is if we switch to a 4231 whilst we are short of CBs and he either comes in or is on the bench as cover for the no 10 role.

I've no idea what kind of team or formation we'll play tomorrow night with the injuries at the back but I would hope he is at least on the bench, if he isn't then I struggle to see when he plays again and then he's basically sat in the stands as a last resort if we get a lot of injuries.

I’d play him instead of Odour. He was poor on Saturday, and seems to perform better coming off the bench.
