The more of the Everton vid I see the more I see him as a latter day Stuart. I watched Stuart grow up as a footballer from the moment he played for our Northern Intermediate and reserve sides in his teens. What he missed in stature he made up with heart . This young lad looks not only bigger but faster on the ball. His bonus is he’s played with men for nigh on 3/4 of a season already. I can see him and maybe Patterson/ Sarcevic interchanging via resting, subbing going forward. I don’t know if he’s that DM to replace or supplement Power just yet? I really depends on where GA sees him ?

 

Great signing thought this lsd would be in on loan so thats another bonus still time to get 1 or 2 loan deals in

Think we ought to give the lad a chance and not expect too much immediately. His experience of men's football is less than 30 games in league 2, it is a big ask to expect him to immediately step up and take the division by storm. GA obviously thinks he has a future and worth investing in and will know how best to bring him on.

 

That’s fair however comparatively Bobby as an example, took three seasons to achieve 64 appearance's in men’s football in L2 , this lad , a year younger achieved 30 appearances in L2 including losing 2-3 months in just one season. No one is expecting him to take anything by storm but he’s clearly ahead of Bobby in terms of progress / appearances couldn’t we say? . We shall see loz. It’s a nice conundrum .

 

We can give many examples Kevin. Had Jenson not been at Everton, he would probably have had more games under his belt. Does anyone know how many games the Limpet aka Andy O'Brien had played at almost 21 also, at what age was Duxbury our skipper? Like everyone else, I am delighted that we have gone down this road and hope for a good outcome.

Maybe my memory is no longer reliable but I seem to think that OB made his debut at 17 and dealt with formidable opponents in each of his first 3 games. I also thought that Dux first captained us as a teenager. Could certainly be wrong though.
