Ive always thought his best position for the team is at the side of Power. His vision and skill would cause so many problems on the counter along with his lovely threaded balls into the channels. For himself hes probably a number 10

The thing is we'd be replacing a squad member not a player who's banging goals in for us at the moment, so in reality there's nothing to replace. If anything, if someone comes in and scores a few, then that's an upgrade on what we have right now.

How the mighty have fallen. The money Huddersfield in transfer fee and wages must be phenomenal . 4.5 year deal and a cash price of well over £2m . Said to be by Luton an “ offer too good for us to turn down”

    Hudds forum quote

“I was told yesterday that our wage bill in league one is £14 million. Allegedly it was Dean who said this as well.

Is it true ? It seems like an awful lot of money and I guess ut means that promotion is a must. If not then surely it’s not sustainable”

It shows how badly Lee Grant is failing. I said pre-season with their squad it should be a cakewalk. With one caveat, their manager. I thought their squad would see them through it a bit like with Birmingham, who’s manager I don’t rate like some but obviously I was wrong. If they sacked Grant and got someone tried and tested in I still think they’d go up. With him I don’t think they will. Hope he stays!

He's a goalscorer in the lower leagues though..
He scored 11 in 25 games for league 2 Colchester on loan 2023-24
He bagged 10 in 19 for league 1 Lincoln City on loan in 2024
    That's a near 1 in 2 return.
Either he's completely lost his edge or the system or environment at Huddersfield has affected him.
I wouldn't say no to a loan to us tbh.

Neither would I the issue is it appears Town have ruined his confidence by the way they play or not as the case maybe ?
We have done the same perhaps in the past with Young and Doyle ? The only difference being Town chucked ££££’s down the loo to do it ;)

Do we think there's a chance Neufville might have been sold or had his head turned?

I know he wasn't at his best for a few games but he's still one of our best outlets.

Will all need paying back eventually. Whilst the dog botherers were back patting on their owner buying the ground from the council, they ignored the potential impact that could have when money wasted on these laughable signings is recalled. Nagle may well be rich but he's dangerously naive and can see the bloke demanding some return over time. If not on the pitch then off it!

No I just think he’s a league 1 player (playing at this level for the first time to boot) and has had some poor form. Even the top players have bad runs of form, even more so the further down you go.

It did cross my mind but it's unlikely as if there was a bid in I don't think he would be getting any game time at all.

Neufville has been out tacticed and is probably bugggered. He will be fine. Other teams have sussed him out.

Do you think Sarc will be offered a new contract in the summer??
    Championship or league 1?

Yes, providing he's still fit and contributing then I'd definitely offer Sarcevic a new deal in the summer. It's an absolute no brainer when he's currently our best attacking midfielder and one of the first names on the team sheet.

He only needs replacing as an option in the squad. He has scored 4 goals in 12 months for us - a time which has seen us promoted and riding high in L1.

Cooky is a modern day legend but his time as our main man is clearly up. Age, injury, quality for L1 all taken into account....

He got a ball in the face and missed games then got easily tackled against Barnsley which lead to a goal and saw him miss another 2-3 games. Given the clip at HT (probably broke a nail or hurt his ear) vs Exeter and not seen since.

    Ive grown tired of him.

He was only a natural goalscorer at L2 level. If we were still there then you would have a valid point but we are L1 now and he has 13 goals at this level throughout his career.

Slowly but surely we're seeing the 18 or so players who will form the regular match day squad. Lapslie, Cook, Kav, Leigh, Patto and Bryne all seem surplus to requirements. If we bring another midfielder in next month, it'll definitely spell the end for Pattison.
